From the moment I met Lisa my world changed I knew I met a powerhouse and what I did not know was that powerful women would soon be a role model for me someone to aspire to be and great friend. I met Lisa Marie at work where we both taught cosmetology not only did she guide me at work but she taught me life lessons. By watching her I learned how to be a stronger woman by working by her side. When Lisa Marie needs to be serious she can be but I can always count on her to make me laugh. Its an honor to call her role model and friend.

    AUTHOR’S NOTE

There are many reasons why a person chooses to become a writer. It typically stems from the love of words and the ability to create a world many of us would love to live in far away from life’s daily stresses. I originally went into children’s literature for these exact same reasons. I was able to escape in my work not that I didn’t love what I was doing at that time, this just provided a different fulfillment. It allowed me to erase all of the grown up doubts I had acquired through maturing and life experiences. During this time it allowed me to reconnect with the childlike qualities that are really precious such as; believing truly anything is possible and the ability to view the world and the people in it more purely minus the flaws.

So I got inspired and wanted to be a part of encouraging a child’s creativity and sharing with parents how to honor their gifts. One book came, then another then another, finally I felt the yearning of finding a way to connect the dots. I had spent so much time in finding niches in communicating the value of instilling morals but also embracing the individuality of our children. Yet with all of this accomplished something was missing in my own life. I was so passionate about children but had found ways to mask that I longed for ones of my own. These simple facts made me evaluate the present state of my life but also investigate the unhealthy patterns I had created along the way.

So my next step was publishing and independent audio book on how women can look and appear one way and have a completely different reality than many would assume. This is partly due to the perception of many but also because many of us have mastered living a lie. As I continued on my career path the one thing that had stayed consistent was my love for the beauty industry and all it had to offer both a new and seasoned professional and for that matter even beauty enthusiasts. So the creation of BEAUTY SCHOOL began.....

It’s not about locating or creating one’s beauty it’s about helping them to discover their own.

    INTRODUCTION

This book has been a long time coming. I have brainstormed ideas, envisioned titles even visuals and finally made the leap of faith that this is the right balance. I was looking to offer beauty insight on a professional level yet pair it with pivotal business lessons for creating a long term career. Everyone has experienced a job right? Typically it’s something we didn’t put much thought into choosing and most of the time the pay is low and even the expectation. Then one day you decide I need more, deserve more and want more. So you do some soul searching, find a path and start your journey into your chosen career.

As we know in many paths there are several possible ways to get there. Maybe the choice is based off of time or resources or maybe both. I wanted to be that wedge between you and an eight thousand investment to a twenty thousand investment. It’s not to say everything you learn here is something you didn’t get in beauty school but maybe the packaging of it will allow you to relate more. I decided to start with the essential elements and began to layer with things that will cause your guests to question why they had never experienced it before.

We quickly assume that the beauty industry consists of being the prettiest, trendiest or maybe even a master
