    Gun Addiction - Hal Jacobson

    My Sculptures

    Sculptures

    On the wall

    On the flag

    My gallery

    In my house

    For Columbine

    Virginia Tech

    The tower in Texas

    Skulls

    Pistols

    Rifles

An enlarged 2 symbol waving a rifle

Nine Justices of the Supreme Court

    Every Friday nine handshakes

    Within the nine

    A conservative majority

    For War Preparedness

    Facilitates killings

    My country

    Future sailors

    Soldiers

    Victims

    Before they can serve

    My sculptures

    On the wall

    On the flag

    My gallery

    In my house

    Irises, Roses, Rhododendrons

Blue irises, red roses, purple rhododendrons

    On the kitchen counter

    On the breakfast table

    In the front yard

    In the back yard

    Bright yellow daffodils

    Awake from their underground hibernation

In time for the Passover holiday

    Copernicus is right

    Galileo and Einstein are right

Earth circles round the Sun again

More light, sunshine and longer days

    Our steps are lighter

We feel we can accomplish so much more

Back in 1791 we said we must protect ourselves

The British army was all around our new country

    We needed a militia

With muskets and single shot dueling pistols

    How times have changed

In 2008 the Supreme Court ruled

That every person could defend himself

    With a multi-shot pistol

    If his state approved

    Like carrying a lynch mob

Inside the handle of a pistol

    Used for self-defense

    If his state approved…

    Day after day

    Year after year

    The weather changes

    Irises are blue

    Roses are red

    Rhododendrons bloom

    Red, white and purple

    The 2nd Amendment lingers

    Americans simplify killing Americans

    Parking Ticket

    Parked too long

    My transgression

    A traffic ticket

    Paid by mail

    A constitutional amendment

    A right to bear arms

    Over 220 years old

    A transgression

    Uncle Hy’s death

    Aunt Frances’ tears
