Dedication
This book, first and foremost is dedicated to the Most High, ‘’ Wiper’’ of flies of the tailless animal without whose miraculous opportunity the concessionary publication of this educative material would have eluded me despite the countless number of promises or assurances from friends and old school mates in even the United States of America had immersed me with. In a typical Ghanaian proverb,’’ when God creates the Blind, He does same with his helper’’ as I’m highly indebted to Mr. Philip John of Partridge Africa for his enlightenment and persistent encouragement regarding this avenue or opportunity for the publication which had remained shrouded to me from the farthest distance. ‘’ he who does good deserves praise’’, an adage goes as incalculable quantum of gratitude be showered on Mr. (Lawyer) Kwasi Agyenim-Boateng without whose financial support that the payment of the first instalment would not have been the least possibility.
Preface
This book, with lots of illustrations for all categories of learners especially from ages ten to eighteen and even adults because of its technicality of the words regarding its nature in terms of the career, occupation or professional in relation to their meanings most of which are not easily known to learners. For example, in Ghana, the technical word or name for someone who takes care of somebody’s farm is commonly known as ‘’ care-taker’’ which is rather technically ‘’ a Bailiff’’ and a lot more that would to a large extent, widen the mental horizon of its cherished learners for a serious spelling activities and quiz competitions.
The particularity of the word in terms of technical terms for the careers, occupation and professions accompanied by well-designed illustrations would be concretised on the mind of learners in terms of their usage grammatically and semantically.
There is no sense of ambiguity that this work would also broaden the spectrum of conceptualisation in its learners as not all words of the alphabetical order that could be illustrated but only be understood via no other means than imagination or by means of picture-creation on the mind.
It would therefore be a greatest opportunity of catching a glance at its useful content regardless of one’s age even though or no matter its targeted group of readers.
