CHAPTER 1.
RETURN TO ONCE UPON A TIME
THE RAIN BEAT down hard against the windows as a crack of thunder startled CorryAnn from her thoughts. It was hard to believe it had been three months since she had been to Once Upon A Time. CorryAnn thought about the last clue in the letter her father had left her. He said the next clue to finding him was in the Dragon’s eye. What could that mean she pondered again for the millionth time? She couldn’t believe the Dark Knight had mysteriously escaped from the dungeon that Jack and Rufulio had put him in. They had discovered this right before she had left to go home.
CorryAnn went up to her bedroom and laid down on her bed with a sigh. It almost could have been a dream except for the evidence hanging from the corner of her bed post. The crystal necklace Jack had given to her as a way to get back to Once Upon A Time. She reached under her bed and pulled out the familiar small red leather journal that had started her on her crazy adventures. She longed to read all the stories that were in the journal but the book had it’s own ideas and it stayed tightly sealed.
Arianna suddenly called up to CorryAnn CorryAnn it’s your night to set the table.
CorryAnn stuck her tongue out to the empty room then got up from her bed. She was relieved that Arianna didn’t remember being briefly kidnapped and brought to Once Upon A Time. It was even more amazing that she didn’t remember being turned into a human Gingerbread girl. CorryAnn smiled to herself with the memory then looked over at the necklace again. It was rather plain in the light of her room when she saw a tiny bit of light emerge from within the crystal. She reached over and took the necklace from her bedpost and held it out as it began to glow brighter and brighter.
Arianna called up to CorryAnn again. now CorryAnn, mom wants it done now!
CorryAnn nodded as she starred at the glowing crystal. She put the crystal around her neck and called down to Arianna. I’ll be down in a minute Ari.
At that moment the pages of the journal began to flip open and flutter wildly. CorryAnn knew the time had come to return to Once Upon A Time.
CorryAnn picked up the open journal and put it in her backpocket as she walked over to her closet door. She pulled the necklace from her chest and closing her eyes she called out I wish to open the door to Once Upon A Time.
Slowly her closet door opened up and a bright light radiated from inside. CorryAnn took a deep breathe then walked
