    If you would have asked me ten years ago, no five years ago about writing KWIK Tips for youth sports, I would have said, Are you kidding me! However, having a son who has been in youth sports since he was eighteen months old and the experiences we have encountered inspired me to share what we know.

    Anyone can be become a coach but only a few become great coaches. Being a part of youth athletics since childhood and being around individuals who have come through the ranks and made it to the professional level as athletes and coaches gives me a different perspective on what to expect. The experiences we gained over the years have been invaluable. We have had good experiences and bad experiences, good coaches, bad coaches, good team parents, bad team parents, winning teams and losing teams. And believe it
