1.JPGPROLOGUE
"Two were given a choice, one of good, another of bad, as they will see in the end. Two boys from the age fifteen to sixteen know nothing of the world outside of what they see. Life is hard. Life is fun. Through the moves of despair and one sees nothing in care. The other sees everything difficult to new, to old friends, to foes. The journey keeps going. By their names Anodor (an-uh-door) and Terisin (tear-a-sin) to the new through worse friends, to best and too many more, they will see in the end.
Some try, some die to try the experience of new ways to fight. However, what the main purpose is of course is for the young ones to learn what war is before too late. To the journey of rumors, of greed, to desire, what course will they take? Past, present, future, it will all end well or all in bad, the choices are left to those of each to do. From normal living boys to troubling young men.
From small lands to traveling big cities, they separate and rejoin. They’re neither soldiers, nor men just yet, but two just waiting to learn. War can seem to be cruel, harsh, destructive, decisive, and cause of rumors. Though they camp, travel, and struggle to their destination they will make it through the end, even if the odds are high or not. The story seems to begin just from the start." The voice fades away
CHAPTER 1
Anodor, Terisin, Aranksen and Anoro’s, life
A long time ago on the continent of Igneamina (in-jean-a-ma), in mans third age is where the story begins. There were cities that lived in harmony, places that wouldn’t care of others around them. They didn’t see the deep darkness that came over them. A price was paid that there was a need. A cry for help that could be only reached by the voice of others, could it be called. Would one stand alone weeping for the men who followed him in the jaws of death, or would they join, unite and curse the darkness back? By the will of man there were ones that had to decide the fate of them and their followers
the voice fades away.
On a nation called Nomeia (no-mean-ia), in the land of qua (c-a-w) is where the story narrows to start with a young boy named, Anodor he was an only child from the family of Anoro (An-or-ah), his mother. His mother was a strong woman that said whatever came to her mind and Anodor’s father Aranksen (a-rank-sin). Aranksen was a strong provider; he would skip his meals to give to his family rather always thinking of others for the good. Back to Anodor he was a young boy that traveled around the town of qua making troubles with his best friend Terisin. Terisin was the cause of trouble every time those two did something, as he liked to take his chances on things and Anodor didn’t.
Anodor and his family lived off on the corner of the town by themselves rather then having company they had the peace to them, and if they need anything the town was not to far away just a good walk away so things worked out perfectly. The young brown top Anodor was heading into town to meet up with his friend Terisin at a tree near a pond passing through the town. Terisin the day before told him that he found something that Anodor would like and that he would show it to him the next day because it was getting late the day before. So Anodor was making his way into town where crowds of people were chattering off talking and close to the market there were people selling, saying that their products were the best
Buy! Buy! You can’t live without having this item!
Some even tried to sell something’s to Anodor, but he didn’t have any money even if he was interested or not, he carried on looking for his friend.
Anodor passed this tall building that had multiple people near the front of the doors shouting things with signs in an aggressive fashion. There was a man at the front door talking back to the mob of people. Anodor could hear some of what he was saying, going off.
Please there is nothing we can do! Your being unreasonable, it had to be done, leave before I get the guards!
the crowd was shouting back give back! We have families to feed! You can’t do this!
Anodor started to pick his speed up to get away.
At last, in the distance near a pond sitting up top was a tree with a young blonde boy leaning on it eating an apple.
Terisin I made it what do you have for me?
Terisin replied with his own conversation did you notice that mob back there?
Yes I did what are those people yelling about?
Terisin was just staring off at the pond I’m not sure, but they sort of scare me, oh sorry do you want an apple I have a few I found near the market from a traveling cart?
Terisin showed an apple.
Did you buy that or steal it?
It dropped off of his cart so I picked it up and took it for you and this one (in his other hand) for me.
Terisin easily lying, he offered the apple, but Anodor said maybe later. Anodor So back to that old topic what do you have to show me?
Oh yea, lets go take a look. Its far off I’ll take you there the only bad thing is it’s near that building and the people next to it, so we’ll have to go past them again.
They started to walk off to this unknown destination and unknown thing, well unknown to Anodor. They walked past the crowd once again same old same old and off near these small thin woods were this small fireplace size tunnel.
Terisin Come on we have to go inside.
They traveled inside, and inside the deeper you get the bigger it actually was. Inside was this very tiny cave maybe about the size of a Childs playhouse in a tree. Sat Terisin off to the side with in the middle was this silver liquidly stream no more than a tall bucket worth of it.
I found this small entrance a few days ago I was just walking around minding my own business and saw this. I went inside and I found this silver stream. Anodor, do you know what this is?
Its silver water, that’s what it looks like.
Its not just silver water this is the water from behind the mountains, up north. Sesia (sea-c-e-ah), remember the rumors of the mercury colored water behind their mountains this is exactly the same thing there must be an underground stream, but yes this is the water, isn’t that neat?
Anodor wow that is pretty cool, but how?
I don’t know, but you can’t drink it, its weightless you can’t even pick it up.
Terisin put his hands in a bucket cup placed in the water and pulled up, he was sum merged. He pulled back, but none of the water came back up, Anodor was just amazed.
They sat there for sometime looking at the water while Terisin took one of the apples he had and started to eat it, he offered the other one to Anodor. Anodor grabbed it, but grabbed to late the apple fell out of Terisins hand falling above the water and disappeared within it. Terisin tried to find it, but the apple was long gone disappearing in the strange water. They sat bored.
Terisin Oh one more thing we should keep this place a secret for just you and me no family or anyone else.
Anodor nodded.
I need to head out Anoro and Aranksen are going to making dinner, lets head over to my house.
They leave past the crowd again, making there way to Anodor’s.
Anodor What do you think there complaining about?
Something dumb I’m surprise the crazy lady near by hasn’t called the guards yet.
Anodor Maybe she’s the problem.
They laugh a little, make it to Anodors home, say goodbye see you tomorrow
. Anodor walks in and hears.
Aranksen Anodor after we eat we need to talk.
CHAPTER 2
From one story to another
From story to story one leads to another some better, some worse. Some past, present, and might affect their future. Almost like a warning of what is to happen and possibly a prediction. From meaningless topics it could turn into something with meaning to someone.
The voice fades away
Terisin runs off to his house. Anodor gulps and goes to dinner. Aranksen runs into the home, takes his bow and quivers then runs off. Anodor walks into the kitchen with Anoro
Where is he going?
Anoro turns towards him he’s going hunting. Also I don’t know if he’s told you, but yes we need to talk after supper.
They wait in the kitchen while Anodor plays with his thumbs. Time passes by and Aranksen comes back with a deer on a cart he borrowed from the near by shop. Anodor runs out and follows Aranksen back to the house.
I have a deer I got lucky tonight usually I’m not quiet enough.
Anodor how long will it take to cook?
Well it’s going to take some time, but just be patient.
They head to the back of their home, gather some logs around a fire circled with rocks. They sit and tell stories to each other from their past to present how Anoro and Aranksen meet. Anodor was grossed out about that story and they talk about their day. Telling each other, except Anodor doesn’t talk about the cave him and Terisin found. They eat laughing and having fun, off in the distance a cricket makes a noise Aranksen brings up a topic.
Those crickets are not as good as the crickets in the mountains of Sesia.
Anodor have you been to Sesia?
No not really, but I’ve heard stories of the mountains from the dwarves, goblins and these little insects, there not crickets, but they glow rather then make noise with there legs then our crickets.
What do you mean?
as Anodor was interested. Like I’ve said I’ve never been there, but the biggest story about the mountains are the cricket insects I don’t know what they really call them, but the dwarves call them moving light. When you go inside the mountains it’s normally dark with little or no light peaking in. and some how when its night when the light from outside the mountains goes out those crickets start to glow rather then chirp noise. They turn off then on like lighting bugs, but jump all around the mountains. But I’ve been told if you pick one up while its lighting up it will burn your hand. Apparently there more then lighting bugs, if you hold one while its lighting up it will burn your hand so that’s also why when there in numbers they are considered dangerous, but I don’t know to much about them they are just stories.
Anodor was fascinated by the story. Then they go into there home. Get some chairs around a table and talk to Anodor.
Aranksen We need to talk to you because certain things have happened and we have to change things for the better because of it.
What are you talking about?
replied Anodor.
Aranksen We’ll you are aware of my work done by the market? (Anodor nods) there is that mob down there right? (Anodor nods) well there is a reason why. There have been problems from the war up north, men going off to war and I don’t know the full details, but there have been strikes and troubles about our company laying off and firing people. Low paying and not well enough for the work kind of deals. Many people are upset and so am I, but even so or not I am not getting any money and this town of ours and I am having struggles.
So what are you getting to
Anodor was nervous about where this conversation was going.
Qua is having struggles and we are not making anything out of this mess. So what we have decided and the only thing we can do the way it looks like is . . . . We have to move to Anm.
We’re moving how soon?
As soon as tomorrow I have no money no profit we need to go, things are getting rough.
What about Terisin?
He’ll be fine he always is.
Anodor starts to get frustrated.
We’ll there has to be another way, we’ve got to stay, we’ve got to find another way that’s not fair!
he starts to get childish. Aranksen slams his hand on the table to get Anodors full attention.
I’m sorry, but that’s all we can do we can’t afford anything and I can’t find work so we need to go Anm we have a better shot in that town there is always work in the streets of Anm.
Aranksen walks off and Anoro and Anodor hug while Anodor is about to start crying on her shoulder. Anoro and Anodor talk back in forth to each other on calming down, Aranksen isn’t in sight. Anodor goes to bed. Then the next day Anodor gets breakfast and goes to find Terisin to tell him the news.
CHAPTER 3
Farmer Trouble
Anodor finds Terisin by the same tree, same pond, but with no apple just staring off towards the pond. They both say hi then Terisin gets up and starts to walk off, Anodor responses fast. Where you going I just got here?
I have an idea follow me lets go see a certain place.
But I have some news I need to tell you, it’s sort of important.
Terisin well its going to have to wait we won’t be long . . . hopefully.
Where are we going?
To a farm
Anodor stops talking and they walk fast towards a
