Viviana Vivienne Croccolo-Huwald

The Author, Viviana Huwald, has a cosmopolitan background. She has found the north west of Western Australia a land of discovery in both ways as landscape and as the cultural mix of its inhabitants. She is a Post-Graduate Retired Secondary Teacher and has spent the time writing to portray through her eyes and speculative mind what she has experienced in the never-never of the Australian Continent. Viviana Huwald with her son and husband went back for another period in the iron ore mining town of Tom Price thus a sequel may follow this introductory book.

    FOREWORD

The whole narrative is peppered with very salacious descriptions of the sexual activities of four attractive young women.

The erotic scenes are described in great details giving the book a most sensual background.

However the historical facts of the takeover of Egypt by the Islamists are real and faithful historical developments.

The dialogue gives the story and immediacy which spurs the reader on to read more and more.

Details such as the fashion in vogue at the time give visual immediacy to the scenes.

    Part One

    Egypt

Mitzi stretched her left hand to reach the little white shelf underneath the wall mirror in the bathroom and picked up the little ring. She looked attentively at it: it was made of an unusual gold chain. She thought I am better than Lilienne and I deserve it.

Coyly she hid it in her bra and went out in the lobby.

Lilienne happened to go in the bathroom to pick up her 22 karats ring, but did not find it on the shelf:

‘I can’t understand… I left my little ring on the shelf and it is no longer there!’

    Mitzi’s response was:

    ‘I must go now, bye.’

She opened the white entrance door and stepped outside without shutting the door. She daintily descended the marble steps without hurrying down the two flights of stairs and went out of the carved, massive, oak, entrance door. In the street she admired the green grass of the near-by horse-racing track of the Sporting Club. In the wet grass there were frogs which were having a concert of their own. She crossed the pavement and entered the street on her left where her family’s apartment was situated. The entrance to the building was similar to that of Lilienne with the difference that the entrance door was not made of oak, but of mahogany with also beautiful carvings and brass fittings. She climbed the first flight of stairs of the five storeys building and entered her apartment, the white painted door being unlocked. Her elder sister addressed her:

‘Are you going out with Lilienne and her friends, tonight?’

    ‘I don’t know yet.’

Mitzi went in her bedroom which was just opposite the entrance door across the terrazzo floored lobby.

Her single bed was situated on the north wall and had beige cotton bed-spread with an embossed geometrical pattern. On the east wall there was her sister’s bed with a similar bed-spread. The balcony window gave onto the common square courtyard. The curtains were of beige organza decorated with scalloped valencia and suspended by a thick brass bar.

She went straight to the walnut dressing cabinet, took the ring out of her right bra with her left hand and placed it in a jewelry box made of cherry wood.

She looked at herself in the mirror and liked what she saw. Her red and white floral dress suited her black curly hair arranged around her perfectly white oval face. Her dark eyes did shine with healthy youth, her small hands were manicured and her white low sandals made pretty pedestal to her well shaped long legs:

‘Later on I will go back to Lilienne as then she will know whether her friends will take us to the Sporting Club to dine and dance.’

Her sister was nursing with a hot pack the boils on her right cheek. She had long, blond, straight hair, regular features with fleshy lips and hazel colored, almond shaped eyes. She was still wearing a light blue, long dressing gown and was sitting by the window balcony with the pack in her right hand and a hand-mirror in her left hand:

‘You are lucky not to have blemishes on your face.’

‘It is all those falafel you eat, I eat lots of oranges.’

‘Yes, I am a little overweight and I will start eating lots of fruit.’

‘Although your fiancé does not seem to mind the fact that you are well covered and besides you are so much taller than I am.’

‘Let’s have some halva for lunch with some tea.’

‘Hah, there you are, you just said you were going to cut down on what is fattening.’

‘Hoh, but I’ll start dieting tomorrow.’

‘I’ll make an exception too and have some halva.’

They relished their halva snack eating with their fingers and mouth closed:

‘It feels so hot; I am going to have a siesta.’

‘We’ll let Samira wash the dishes. I am having a siesta, also.’

Mitzi woke up with the bed trembling underneath her:

‘An earthquake, maman, papà, Lorraine, quick let’s go downstairs and in the street!’

Mitzi was the first one on the landing where she noticed the Englishman with his baby daughter in his right arm and only one sock on his right foot, hurrying down the stairs:

‘It is not so severe, but we better go in the open as it might get worse.’

    ‘Indeed let’s hurry up!’

The whole five storey building disgorged all its inhabitants who in dismay felt the soil tremble under their feet while they observed with horror the cracks appear in the asphalt. Luckily the tremor subsided quickly and wearily each one went back to his/her apartment to get out of the early afternoon sun.

There was a knock at the door:

    ‘Well, what’s the news?’

Lilienne with her shoulder-length, titian-red, wavy hair and in a blue and white dotted cotton dress had appeared at the door:

‘François came to tell me that he and his brother and his friend will come and fetch us at eight tonight.’

‘Great, but I hope there will be no repeated tremors.’

‘Wasn’t it scary? I waved to you when we were all in the street, but you did not see me.’

’No, I did not notice you and I was thinking that the whole neighborhood was in the street.’

‘See you tonight. Come to my home at quarter to eight.’

    ‘Bye.’

    ‘Bye.’

Lilienne went back to her light-blue walled apartment where her mother was making halva with sugar and lemon:

‘Thank you, maman. Letizia will epilate my legs and my underarms.’

‘In the mean time I’ll make some Crêpe Suzettes which you and Josephine like so much.’

‘Make some with cherry-jam and some with sugar, please, maman.’

‘Josephine open the door it must be Letizia who has come to help us epilate ourselves.’

‘Good, she knows how to do it without hurting too much.’

‘You are not as hairy as I am Josephine, you are blonde and it does not show too much.’

‘Ready, have you got the halva?’

Letizia was the maid of the Englishman and she was of Italian origin, but born in Egypt. She was of a stocky built, had an olive complexion, about thirty years of age and wore a black dress with a white apron. Her feet were shod with wooden clogs:

‘Here we’ll do it on the dining table, so you don’t have to bend so much.’

Lilienne climbed on the mahogany chair and spread her self on the matching square table:

‘I’ll start with the legs, Lilienne.’

The strong but dexterous woman applied the sticky halva on the right calf and quickly pulled the halva off with the black hair sticking to it, and then she repeated the same process until the right calf was smooth and hairless:

‘Now let me do the left leg.’

Once the left calf was hairless also she gently encouraged:

‘Bend the knee and let me do your bikini-line.’

    ‘That is going to hurt…’

‘I’ll be as fast as I possibly can as long as you stand still.’

She applied the halva and quickly ripped it away:

‘You are bleeding, you poor thing, your hair is really thick and the roots are deep.’

‘Don’t forget I am really a dark haired one, my hair is bleached red.’

Lilienne did not complain and Letizia completed the bikini-line:

‘I’ll brace myself for the armpits.’

Again Lilienne bled from the hair follicles, but only moaned briefly:

‘Josephine, it is your turn now.’

Josephine was also ready in her pants and bra. She was a dark blonde, with very dark large, almond eyes, with long eye-lashes, well plucked eyebrows, a small mouth with pink, thin lips and beautifully straight teeth. Her neck was long and she had feminine shoulders, a very tiny waist and flat tummy with round hips and thick thighs, her small knees continued into developed calves and ended into very pretty feet:

‘I am glad it is you who is doing me, as when Lilienne did it last time she did hurt me.’

‘You too did hurt me, terribly.’

‘That’s why we resorted to pay Letizia to do it for us.’

‘Thank you Letizia and here is your money.’

    ‘Bye.’

    ‘Bye.’

‘See you again in a month’s time.’

‘Tonight I’m wearing the aqua-green, rayon, short dress. It will look good with my red hair.’

‘I want to wear the cream top with the gold diamond shaped little squares and the black, brocade, skirt."

‘I prefer to slip in the lizard shoes.’

‘For me it is simple I’ll wear the black, silk shoes.’

‘I wonder what Mitzi will wear?’

‘She is so slim that everything looks perfect on her.’

‘The crêpe suzettes will be cold by now.’

‘Here they are my darlings, enjoy them.’

    Thank you maman.’

‘What about me my darling, beautiful wife, are there any crêpes for your Gautier, Juliette?’

‘I’ll make them fresh for you Gautier and I’ll make enough for both of us.’

‘Josephine let’s set the table so we can eat all together.’

    ‘Ok.’

‘Maman they were delicious! Papà make some origami figurines please.’

    ‘Yes, do so papà.’

‘My little girls are going dancing tonight. I hope your chevaliers will be gallant.’

‘Lilienne I am going to start getting ready.’

With a startled look Josephine was back into the dining room:

‘I can’t find my sleeveless top!’

‘Where is it supposed to be?’

It was still in the suite-case, which I had left open in the lobby. I have not completely unpacked.’

‘Could it be that Letizia took it?’

    ‘It would not fit her.’

‘I have seen her sister, dear sister, and it would fit her. You’ll have to wear something else.’

‘I did love that top…well I’ll wear the black and blue brocade, princess. Hurry up Lilienne. It is getting late.’

‘I am quite tanned and I’m not wearing stockings therefore I’ll be ready in a tick.’

Lilienne had an extraordinary tan. Her arms, shoulders, back and face were covered by very, very fine blond downy hair and this gave her tan a luminous golden appearance:

‘Well done Mitzi, you are on time. Now we have to wait for the boys.’

The boys were a few minutes early and Colet was known by the
