Part One: The Forest
Part Two: The Smoke
Part Three: The Fire
Part Four: The Blaze
Part Five: The Ash
"Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon
thine arm: for love is strong as death;
Jealousy is as cruel as the grave:
The coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a
most vehement flame
Many waters cannot quench love
Neither can the floods drown it
If a man would give all the substance of his
house for love
It would utterly be contemned."
Song of Solomon 8:6-7 (KJV)

Part One: The Forest
105926-WALC-layout.pdf1. Beginning
Resting on a blanket of peaceful green
Everything’s serene
The wheels of order turn within
Helping the restless life to cope with things
Shady trees, and roving mountains
Paradise set to a moving scene
Open fields and votive groves
Luscious valleys where rivers flows
Gentle is the forest
Innocence and harvest
Man and beast in harmonious retreat
Sacred woods to the indiscrete
Air and graces weave and knit
Cooling balms to the fiery feet
A playful wind through the trees blows
Music drifts in and out of the seductive grottos
Lonely, weary hearts can take repose
From taxing friends and violent foes
The forest soothes and heals the soul
The spirit awakens and begins to soar
Teeming with mystifying enchantment
Releasing the heart from the hold of anxiety and excitement
Tolling the bells of natural enjoyment
The forest is cast at the beginning
Of all the pleasures the heart is seeking
2. Over and Over Again
You bring me pleasure not pain
Showers not rain
The sun that keeps shining
Again and again
And I keep falling in love with you
Over and over again
You bring the wind not the storm
The calm and the warm
The ointments and balms
Devotion, compassion, protection from harm
And I keep falling all over
Again and again
3. Ode to the Loss Star
(The Musical Michael Jackson)
I came to the garden but you are no longer here
With coruscate luster and musing with cheer
Though still your perfume stains the air
I called to you but you were nowhere
I searched for you and found your notes there
With strains of music to last year after year
Only my memory of you can take your place
There is no other star that can kiss my face
There is no other light to fill this void space
Grief stricken through the wilderness I roamed and wandered
But the spirit said look and I behold you up yonder
Heralding the carols of the heavenly choir
I have come to terms with what I lost
But a loss is still a loss, too strenuous the cost
So I still go back to that place through weeping mist and frost
For one more glimpse of your charming face
And of your sweet music one final taste
To layer my soul with tempered pace
4. Pursuing Delight
The crusader would wade the rising tide
Or scale the mountains seep and high
Following the lead of the crimson tip
In the pursuit of a masquerade of happiness
When he has found his maiden’s breast
The turbulent channels will be his rest
Her ravishing lips his honeycomb
Her boiling springs the comfort of home
5. The Right Hand that Embraced Me
You took me from my mother’s house
And brought me to your home
That I may know the pleasure plains
That you customarily roam
Slowly you lead me to your chamber
My drumming heart fears the unfathomable pleasure
Promised fruit and wine by the fire
And the little sparks that dance with leisure
Gently you lowered me unto the bed
Kissing my lips, massaging my head
Naked Venuses guard the walls
Along with paintings depicting the fall
Pomegranates stains my inflamed lips
The blood of passion stain your sheets
The left hand wiped the tears from my eyes
The right hand embraces with a cold goodbye
6. The Honey in the Dew
Your fingers touched my tender grapes
Giving me cause to celebrate
A cup of wine to dress your lips
As they meet mine to compensate
A drop of honey in the dew
The violent north wind warm spirits renew
Come my darling I’ll let you in
To play within the gates to my secret garden
7. Breaking the Seal
You ravish my heart with your pleading eyes
You hunger my soul with wanting lips
Broke open my seal with just one touch
Thrusting my honey pot with your famished tips
Making fleshy fountains from which the honey sipped
A broken seal and the gate swings open wide
Torrent springs of nectar floods the banks inside
The sacred fruits are ripe and ready for harvest
Turn your desires towards me and earn your interest
Take me to that place of ecstasy where every woman longs to be in retreat
8. Delightful Thirst
I heard strange feet crossing over my floor
Then the sound of a stranger wrapped at my door
There was sweet sensation in his voice
He called my name and made me his choice
He said I enchanted and bewitched him
A goodnight kiss from my lips would help him settle in
Sweaty palms reached for and lit the candle
But a wind blew it out as he rattled the door handle
"Spare me one tasty drop of your honeyed lips
And lay me in rosy delights to sleep."
Tell me at the end if I should stay or go
Tell me at the end if you would like to have one kiss more
Hands soft as lilies touched my face
Lips as succulent as sweet, juicy, tender grapes
The illusion of pleasure to powerful to resist
The thrill in the trails as his kisses persist
Granting me the favours of Venus’s power
I succumbed to the taste of his potent kisses of vigour
He worshipped my neck and prayed to my breast
Vehement, consuming flames put my heart to the test
He drank from my navel with the spirit of the juice in the wine goblet
Yielding to his pen I became his tablet
The commandments of love he wrote on my every part
And passion like wild fire surrendered the unyielding secrets of my desecrated heart
9. Let’s Play
Last night in my bed I sought and found you not
You left me tempted and boiling hot
But today I hope you’ll come with me
Into the garden to slay the beast in the tree
At noon we’ll play like two hares in the field
In the setting sun your troubled heart I’ll heal
With succulent fruit and pleasing wine
Sending the shadows back to another time
Say you’ll come
