Dr. Roger Powell

Dr. Roger Vail Powell was born in Swakopmund, South West Africa on March 2, 1950. He has always had a love of nature and animals and during his childhood did much to help injured animals and birds. It was his intention, at one time, to pursue a career in veterinary science. However, after he saw his mother taken from a deathbed back to the tennis court by a chiropractor, he changed his mind. In March 1973, he graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport Iowa USA as a doctor of chiropractic. Since then, he has practiced in the Republic of South Africa. Unhappy with the way in which his mother had been bullied by the medical profession her whole life and seeing the same happening to many others, he embarked on a mission to free the world from the scourge that is organized medicine. His book, The Crime of Curing, is destined to change the way we see medicine and other health-care disciplines. Dr. Powell exposes the good the bad and the ugly of them all. He maintains that health comes from within the body, not out of a bottle or syringe and that the words of Hippocrates make sense. His YouTube channel does much to convince even the most ardent skeptic that chiropractic works, and that this is the reason it is so hated by the enemies of true health. Hippocrates did say, “In case of illness, look first to the spine and not to medicaments” and “Physician heal thyself.”

This book was many years in the making and is the result of hundreds of patients, many of whom became friends, sharing their excitement at witnessing and benefiting from the wonders of chiropractic. My late mother was always an inspiration and wrote many newspaper articles under the pseudonym ‘Chiropatient’ in support of chiropractic. It was a chiropractor; Dr Ben George who saved her life after her medical doctor abandoned her and sent her home to die in renal shutdown.

Of late however, I must say a very big thank you to Nina Schmidt and Kamal Parbhoo for their unrelenting support during the past year especially. These two young and enlightened chiropractors are witness to the corruption process undermining chiropractic and in the process, denying the world non-invasive, efficacious cost-effective health care. They are part of my effort to put an end to the corruption process that is crippling individuals as well as entire Nations, physically and financially. ‘The Crime of Curing’ is an attempt at restoring the principles and philosophy of chiropractic as taught by the Palmers and maintaining the identity of chiropractic. In so doing we hope to convince the world that they are their own best doctors and all they need in order to be healthy, is for someone to keep that doctor within alive and well; those people are called chiropractors. These chiropractors need your support, so please take the trouble to read this book and understand the rationale for the need for removing neurological interference from the spine. That way you will also appreciate why the enemies of true health have always wanted to contain and eradicate the only threat to their malicious monopoly.

This book is a last ditch effort to save what is left of chiropractic and rekindle a roaring blaze that started on 18th September 1895.

I hope that this book will convince even the most ardent sceptic about the dangers of modern medicine and the benefits of true, old school uncorrupted chiropractic. In Zecharia Sitchin’s book ‘The Lost Book of Enki’will be found much evidence to support the fact that extraterrestrials visited Earth 445,000 years ago; that they came here in search of gold and did things that dramatically shaped our future. Sitchin was able to decipher the Sumerian tablets, which comprised much of his research. The area where these ancient aliens mined most of their gold, was called ‘The Abzu’ which is Tanzania. I have personally driven to Tanzania twice from Durban South Africa, in order to do research on one of these ancient alien mines. Interestingly, the one I am exploring is the one which contains treasure of unimaginable value.
