About this ebook
Kid, youd better get home... your parents are going to be looking for you. Dont you know its getting late and dark? Get home, kid!
It was getting late, and I was shooting by the light of the moon, but I was forty years old, and my
parents turned me loose many years ago. I may have looked like a kid who should be out getting ready for a trick-or-treat journey, but I was on a basketball mission -- and when I told the
concerned visitors that I would be OK for the night, and that I was over forty, they were a bit shocked.

Foreword to 16-Win-by-Two
F rom Coach Freddy Johnson head boys basketball coach at the Greensboro Day School…
Coach Johnson has been the head basketball coach at Greensboro Day School, in Greensboro, North Carolina for the past 39 years…Coach Johnson is the winningest high school basketball coach in North Carolina high school basketball history with a career record/mark of 958 wins and 279 losses and his Greensboro Day School Bengal teams have appeared in 16 North Carolina Boys Independent Schools Championship Games, having won eight of them…Coach Johnson with 8 NCISAA State Titles to his credit…. Here is what Coach Freddy Johnson has to say about 16-Win-by-Two…..Coach Johnson on 16-win-by-two:This is a very entertaining book…I like it because it is an easy, smooth basketball read
…
Coach Johnson said he knew many of the courts and recognized several of the player’s names from the Greensboro courts…In fact Coach Johnson had played on some of these courts, back in his outdoor basketball days…In many cases he had been there and done that. He also said he can identify with many of the people in this book and being a small man in stature himself, Freddy Johnson has a special place in his heart for outdoor basketball players that battle their way all the way to the top, just like Andy Duncan has done here….
Coach Freddy Johnson is a member of the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame, the sports hall of fame, for the state of North Carolina…
Freddy Johnson a true and proven winner and he feels like this book, 16-Win-by-Two
, is a Winner too….
The Journey
T he journey, it’s all about the journey and the one you are about to go on will take you places you’ve never been before and when you embark on this sports journey, you’ll be going places that only Jock Lobotamata, Jimmy Fulmer and let’s say Ed Ross could really want to be a part of, but since those greats have left us/gone, let’s carry on and carry you into the world of Andy Duncan, as he seeks to become the best outdoor basketball player that ever stepped on to the half-court.
16-Win-by-Two takes you on a basketball journey that will give men like the great Ed Ross, the great Jimmy Fulmer and once-upon-a-time great Jock Lobotamta a chance to look down and say, I never dreamed it could have ended like that for our good friend Andy Duncan.
For those that have moved on and for those that are still with us, let’s move into the realm of near-reality basketball and find out why Andy Duncan is so good and why the basketball gods decided to look down on Duncan/him…..
The journey is about to begin, but not before we find out more about the man that made this entire journey come to life….
About the Book
H ow many times does the Little man/Older man overcome the odds and win the Title or the Championship and in the process he has success???
This is not supposed to happen. The old man, and we all know the small man has no chance to finish at the top in today’s world of sports and athletic competition. You might see a jockey ride a horse to the Winner’s Circle, but who won the race? The little jockey? No, it was the mighty powerful horse that finished first…
Same thing in the auto racing industry…Maybe you have an older and at the same time small driver, but who wins the race? Yes, there you go on green, it is the car…Good old #23 and do you remember who drove that car? No, it was not Michael Jordan. Michael was well over six feet tall and did it all and he did it while he was young.
So does anybody under six feet, but not six feet under, at say age 58, have a chance to live and play in the great outdoor basketball dance
?
But wait a minute, now with this 16-Win-by-Two book, you will see the little man make the move that could give him the gold/money…The old get the Gold? How novel is that?
Andy Duncan knows how to get it done and it is time we all learn how to behold the old and realize the small man can hold the gold……
When you follow Andy Duncan into his 16-win-by-Two world, you will see that there is still hope for those that still see the dream and for those that know, The Dream Is Still Alive
.
The old man makes a run and find out if he won and if he gets the job done…Andy Duncan is the old man to get it Done….
Introduction
M y name is Andy Duncan and this is my story about how I became a true legend and what it means to play and win, at the game of 16-win-by-two. Sixteen-win-by-two is the name of the game where I made my name and this game has become a major influence on my adult life.
If you have never heard of Sixteen-win-by-Two
, it is a game of basketball and game of life and sometimes death. Playing this game is not an easy task, but for me it has become a life-long passion… Playing basketball games over and over again for many, many years becomes a game of pursuit, one which must be worked in around your job, your overall abilities, your age as you get older and you try to keep on playing and others around you are dying, or they can no longer play due to injuries and you start to get some of those same injuries and they can affect you too…
You need to know, because I know many of you will ask, what is it that you are really doing???
Playing outdoor basketball is the answer and you are playing a game or series of games
