()
About this ebook
Between the covers of this little book are thoughts and plausible solutions from a Viet Nam combat veterans perspective on issues facing each and every one of us.
Let the intriguing chapter titles draw you into the insight John has received from his many life experiences.
In the world of today, faced with the challenges now presented by changes in our environment, created by humanity, John offers possible solutions and a fresh view of the situation.
This is a rather unique book in that it includes a collection of Johns short stories (written in college) and a collection of Johns poetry (written when he was a patient at Tripler for PTSD) and a summary of his life from birth to the present time (including photographs) and Johns bookCentral Equilibrium.
Some of what is included in this book was thought about by John twenty-five years ago.
The last chapter contains Johns proposal for the people of planet Earth to build the largest structure ever conceived or attempted by humankind.
The other chapters in this book are some of Johns solutions and thoughts of the present and his visions of the future.
John E. Olsen
John E. Olsen was born and raised in Bozeman, Montana. He worked on farms and ranches from age ten to age eighteen. He then joined the marines and was in Viet Nam from 1968–1969. After returning, he attended Montana State University and received a degree in English with a mass communications option. He stayed in Montana for thirty-seven years and then moved to Santa Barbara, California, and then to Seattle for ten years. After his divorce, he moved to Maui, Hawaii. After “blowing out,” he went to Tripler Hospital, on Oahu, for ten months of intensive PTSD therapy. Then he moved to Hilo, Hawaii. While there he attended a Viet Nam combat veterans group. He still attends that group. He spent eleven years, on his back, in his condo, watching television for twelve hours a day. He likes to say that “God woke him up” in 2014, after eleven years of dormancy. He started a nonprofit corporation composed of Viet Nam combat veterans for the purpose of providing free community orchards and gardens throughout Hawaii and the mainland. His corporate home base is in Hilo, Hawaii. He runs his corporation from a small bedroom, in his condo, via fax, phone, and computer. John was in residential construction for thirty years and was in real estate investments for twenty of those years. John is a Viet Nam combat veteran.

CHAPTER I
CHAPTER - 1
Central Equilibrium
While I was in the Seattle area, twenty five years ago, I wondered if I could come up with a definition for God.
After much thinking and pondering, I was given this definition, which is: Central equilibrium is the balanced flow of matter and energy, throughout the universe.
Matter and energy goes in and matter and energy comes out from Central Equilibrium thus producing a balanced flow of celestial bodies.
Central Equilibrium is in the center of the true universe
, but has no limits or boundaries. The true universe
is constantly expanding along with all the other trillions of universes but has no boundaries or limits because it expands into the infinity of space. The expansion of Central Equilibrium is from the center outwards.
To me, Central Equilibrium is God- a benevolent, creative force, at the center of the universe, which reaches into every corner of the universe.
Everything, and I do mean everything, emanates from the source or center. God sends representatives to earth from time to time, to guide and instruct us. These people are considered prophets or messiahs.
Every religion, other than Satanists, is our pathway to the source or center. Every religion is important and no one religion has God cornered.
God is big enough to encompass all religions and all of the knowledge of the universe is embodied within Central Equilibrium.
Central Equilibrium is the force God uses to create universes and keep their flow balanced and therefore is contained within each and every one of us.
CHAPTER II
CHAPTER - 2
My experience in the forest
When I was in the Seattle area, I was having kind of a rough day. My stress level was very high. So, I packed up my Chinook camper and headed for the mountains. I went to a campground, sat there for a while, and then decided to take a walk.
The path followed a river and meandered through the forest. As I walked, I noticed the sunlight coming through the trees. It just looked different
, somehow-magical and glistening. I made my way to a giant old cedar tree that had toppled over. On its stump, a slug was crawling.
All of a sudden-I heard a voice. It was not a big booming voice-but rather it was very calm and soothing. It said, From the lowly slug to the mighty cedar...I control them all. I give you two gifts...
Form and Understanding."
And that was it!
I was quite shaken by this and am still trying to understand exactly what it meant.
After that, I was given many ideas for products and services. I went to a large patent firm in Seattle.
They are in a large building with big, blue, bay windows. My attorney and I would sit in front of those bay windows at a very large conference table, and discuss ideas.
I came up with a lot of ideas, but most of them had already been thought of by others. One idea however, after we did the search, was available for patent.
It is: A pin,
