About this ebook

I was diagnosed with Cancer in early 2006. But God sent to me a prophetess who revealed an awesome message. He had given me a gift that hed not yet revealed to me.

I glowed throughout my Cancer battle, my faith was unshakeable. Strength was in me that was undeniable throughout my Cancer ordeal. After having three surgeries, a terrible reaction to a chemo treatment, one day I picked up my ink pen again and started writing. The gift had been revealed and has become my love and passion.

This book is an accumulation of everything I received from the Holy Spirit. He still gives me poems and stories and yes, I listen and write them down, even, at three or four in the morning.

Following my Spoken Word reads there were many requests for a book so, here we are Through My Eyes.

Stephanie J. Walker-Pérez

I was born in Chester, Pennsylvania in 1951 to Alice and Robert Walker. I am the eldest of three children, Janice my sister and my bubbling bouncing baby boy brother Robert. I have resided in Chester most of my life. Leaving only once to live in Atlanta, Georgia for approximately seven years. I have a one son Kevin and one grandson Kristopher. I met my best friend (Janice Bowman) at The Art Institute of Philadelphia, she has always been encouraging to me and a definite motivator, we won many awards together at AIPH with my son Kevin’s help. Once frustrated I had put my pen down, but God had another plan for me and once again I find myself on fire for him and writing. I now eagerly pick up my pen for my new love, poetry.

    A MOTHER’S SORROW

    I see your sorrow

    I see your pain

    That doesn’t mean

    That life won’t change

    She’s with the Lord

    And looking down

    Please don’t be sad

    Try not to frown

    An empty space

    Within your heart

    I know you thought

    You’d never part

    Life is a challenge

    Life isn’t fair

    But she’s with God

    And glad she’s there

    My prayer for you

    Is don’t be sad

    You’ll unite again

    And then be glad

    So to you friend

    I give you love

    And pray you strength

    ACCEPT MY PRAISE OH LORD

    reference Psalms 119 chapters 105, 108 and 114

    Your Word lights my path

It is a beacon in the darkness

    Your Word is forever eternal

It saves me during times of distress

Accept Oh Lord my willing praise

It comes from the depths of my soul

My heart is set on keeping your decrees

I’ll praise you forever it’s my goal

I have put my hope in your Word Oh Lord

You are my refuge and my shield

Sustain me according to your promise

I will always submit to your will

The unfolding of your Word gives Light

Father God please have mercy on me

Direct my footsteps according to your Word

Give me understanding of your decrees

Hear my voice in accordance of your love

When I bow down low to pray

I know your compassion is great Oh Lord

For you have forgiven me every day

I call with all my heart to you

Save me from the burning lake of fire

I will meditate on your Word always

Father, you are my hearts desire

All your words are true, Abba father

And I rejoice in your promised Word

Seven times a day I will praise you Lord

Until I make my voice to you heard

    AGAIN

Once again I find that I am sick

Once again I call on your name

    Once again so many illnesses

My body they try to claim

Again I find myself standing firm

    Although I stand not alone

Through the past I have learned

That in you I have found a home

This Cancer that I took so lightly

    Is something that I underestimated

    Although a much harder fight

    Still I am not inundated

For I have a secret weapon

And that is the Great I AM

No matter what I go through

    He solves all my problems

He has never been a liar

    He has never been unkind

    When I need his loving

My God is right on time

    ALWAYS BEAUTIFUL

They told us that our lips were too big

And our wide noses made us look like a pig

And what’s up with that nappy head?

    But, we were always Beautiful

Taught to be ashamed of our culture

Love was all we had to nurture

Some assemblance of a lost life

    But, we were always Beautiful

We took the kinkiness out of our hair

We permed it, and straightened it to its despair

Then we Gherri curled our hair right back

    But, we were always Beautiful

Look how the Lord has colored our skin

At the fantastic muscular bodies we were put in

Strong just to have made such a journey

    Cause, we were always Beautiful

Now when I look back on
