I began writing this book in the year 2013; it is a work of fiction that is appropriate for all ages. It is a story of the world situation and how God intervenes. It deals with families and how they deal with the circumstances that surround them and how through working together under the inspiration of God and their faith, they allowed God to work through them and also with the assistance of the celestial beings. It is a good book for our time. I hope you enjoy it and recommend the book to others.

Author’s Notes
About The Author
To my sister, Rita, who was gracious enough to take the time out of her busy life to critique my work and offer suggestions. Thank you, Rita, with God’s many blessings. Also to my husband, Clay Hammack, who was an inspiration for me to continue my writing. He continues to inspire me. To my children: Carolyn, Melanie, Pete, Michael, Cade, Jonah, Gavin, Dominic, Jackson, Elijah and Asher. I have been blessed and give the greatest thanks and recognition to God my Abba, Daddy.
My wonderful husband walked over to Jesus on November 20, 2016. He will be missed, but I know he is happy with Jesus now.
We are also expecting our seventh blessing from heaven. Our new grandchild is due around the same time as my husband’s birthday in September 2017. God is good all the time!
A generation goes, a generation comes, yet the earth stands firm forever. The sun rises, the sun sets; then to its place it speeds and there it rises. Southward goes the wind, then turns to the north; it turns and turns again; back then to its circling goes the wind. Into the sea all the rivers go, and yet the sea is never filled, and still to their goal the rivers go. All things are wearisome. No man can say that eyes have not had enough of seeing, ears their fill of hearing. What was will be again, what has been done will be done again, and there is nothing new under the sun. Take anything of which it may be said, Look now, this is new.
Already, long before our time, it existed only no memory remains of earlier times, just as in times to come next year itself will not be remembered.
—Ecclesiastes 1:4–11, Jerusalem Bible
The Circle of Life! What was in the beginning will be again, life everlasting! In the beginning was the word, and the word was made flesh and lived among us.

CHAPTER 1
It Has Begun
T here was a small suburb, much like any other small town, set away from the activities, chaos, and traffic of the big city. The town was predominantly surrounded by nature rather than a concrete world. Nearby were mountainous nature trails, bike trails, and parks for children to play in. In this community, neighbors helped each other because they knew one another. It was a little more peaceful than other places where the population was larger. This cozy little place gave a feeling of being able to escape the big city; but even here, they could not escape the bureaucracy.
Whatever happens in the big cities slowly migrates into small environments as well. Citizens’ personal lives were being invaded, even in a secluded place. Control was more evident every day; there was no hiding from the powers that be. They couldn’t even pretend they were safe and still be in control of their own lives. How could they be so blind that they could not see the evil that surrounded them as well? How does the evil one get a foothold in a place where people seem to live happy, caring lives?
Some of the people began to notice the difference in the air. They could feel it, but they could not say exactly what it was. They felt tension, like a rubber band pulled to the very extent of its elasticity. They noticed the greed, pride, immorality, violence, lack of respect, and disregard for the value of human life that were prevalent and overpowering their very existence. The change was very subtle in the beginning, and it could be overlooked if they were not alert. As long as the residents needed only to deal with their employment, they were willing to let it pass because their personal lives were not affected.
One of the residents, whose name was Rachael, was a social worker for the State Child Protective Service. She was married to Joshua, and they had two children, Gabriella and Raphael, who attended the local public schools. Rachael’s husband was a deacon who worked for the church and loved serving his people. Gabriella at the time was a typical seventh-grade student; her friends were important to her. Raphael, like most fifth-grade boys, at any time would rather have been roughhousing and playing all day long. They were a typical family living in ordinary times, or so they thought. Then it happened.
One day the children, Gabriella and Raphael, came home from school excited about their new textbooks. Rachael, their mom, knew the schools
