Magick - Charlz Wolfe

What is magick?

Magick has many definitions . It is so broad and deep that there is no one definition that completely defines it. Hence, over the years, practitioners of this magical craft have come up with various definitions for the word, magic/magick. Perhaps the most common definition is the one given by the renowned occultist, Aleister Crowley. According to Mr. Crowley, magick is the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will. It should be noted that this is just one of the many other beautiful definitions and descriptions of what real magic is all about.

You may also notice that magick is spelled with a k. This was also developed by Mr. Crowley, and the reason for this is simply to distinguish real magic(k) from sleight-of-hand magic or the magic that is used to entertain an audience. True magic(k) is spiritual and magical while sleight-of-hand magic or stage magic uses trickery and the purpose of which is for entertainment. Still, we do not need to add the k every time, especially if it is clear that we are talking about real magic.

There are many definitions for the word magick. Here is a secret: magick is as meaningful as you make it. Make it wonderful and beautiful.

Is magick evil?

Magick is neither good nor evil. Whether it be good or evil depends on your intentions and how you use it. For example, a knife is often used to prepare our delicious meals; however, in the hands of a murderer, that same knife becomes a weapon of evil.

Another thing that people think about is if magic is black or white, or that perhaps it is both. I would say that magic does not really have a color, but if you should give it a color, then it should be multicolor: black, white, but also green, pink, brown, red, orange, and so on. It is well to note that when people talk about magic as either black or white, it is usually only for the purpose of conversation, as a way to refer to the kind of magic that helps (white magic) and also the kind of magic that harms (black
