About this ebook

He reads forbiddingly complex papers on neuroscience and continental philosophy and shovels clay with a Buddhist monk until his hands bleed. He tries to catch a bus. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really like Danyl's non-fiction, whatever the topic. This is an examination of consciousness, meditation, altruism, and depression, but it is not self-important or overblown because the narrator is endearingly wry and self-deprecating. Full of lovely deadpan moments, but also a very deep and intellectual examination of subjects that are usually covered superficially. I powered through it in about 24 hours.
