About this ebook

In this book I wanted to collect all the short stories written so far. All the writings are original and collect the author's emotions and experiences. The author has specially created images for each of them with various pictorial and graphic techniques. Some of them analyze the reality of the pandemic with the eyes of the imagination that all writers are lucky enough to have. The underlying objective of the writing of this collection is mainly to fight the coronavirus also by telling positive and negative stories always with a thin thread of hope. Obviously, all references to facts and people are purely coincidental since they originated from the author's imagination.

    Introduction

These short stories were inspired by the period that has just passed and continues to this day.

Some of the six short stories contained in this collection are full of hope for the future while others analyze reality with the eyes of the imagination that all writers are lucky enough to have.

Obviously all references to facts and people are random since they originate from the author's imagination.

    Aradia's Recipes

Nicola was a very curious and lively child who was always scolded by anyone for this. He had two lively eyes and curly black hair that was always a bit messy, because he never stood still. He knew he didn't have to go to the attic, it was where his grandmother carried all her junk and it could even be dangerous without an adult watching over him.

    said the mother.

    said Nicola.

The grandmother was a bit strange, she always wore black and had two large and inquiring eyes, she was almost intimidating, but now the poor thing was not well, she had started coughing one day at dinner and then they never saw her again, now mom had started coughing too and the doctor said it could be COVID-19 and she had to stay home.

One day they talked to him about this new being almost invisible, but so bad, which they called the virus or rather coronavirus, which entered from the mouth or nose and made people feel so bad. And now that he has also arrived at the house, for fear Nicola has run away to the only place where no one could enter even this little being. The attic seemed the ideal solution and he huddled under his grandmother's desk.

He stayed there for a long time, even he doesn't know how long. At some point she decides to rummage through her grandmother's things to find something to have fun. As he is about to leave, he bangs his head against the desk and to his great surprise a hidden drawer opens.

He said, looking out at the drawer.

he thought, taking the object in his hand.

On the cover was written: Recipes of Aradia.

He thought starting to leaf through the notebook.

he said, looking forward to tasty dishes that made his stomach rumbling with his hunger.

    thought Nicola.

Nicola then took the Smartphone that his father had given him at Christmas to do some research on the internet that the teacher had assigned him with distance learning.

He puts the phone on the desk and picks up the notebook.

he thought, leafing through the cookbook.

    he thought.

    Continuing to read .

Meanwhile he decides to close the desk drawer, go downstairs and hide the notebook under his bed in the middle of the newspaper basket.

In the evening after dinner he knocks on his sister's room.

    .

The boys go to the attic in search of the grandmother's ring, but they find nothing, then Maria remembers that the grandmother one day asked her to water her beloved orchids, telling her to look for the key in the pot of the plant on the landing of the house. her.

They arrive at the pharmacy with self-certification and buy a box of tachipirina, then go up. The key had remained there, inside the vase as grandmother had said, they open and enter.

. They open the casket, beautiful in inlaid wood, and on the bottom they find the ring.

Finally at home, they take the cookbook:

<1 China 100-year egg; ½ liter of sour milk from Slovenia; Half Haggis of Scotland; 1 Singapore bird nest; 1 Khask of Turkey; 200 gr of Casu Marzu from Sardinia; 200 gr of Shiokara from Japan; 150g of Akutaq from Alaska; 3 fried spiders from Cambodia; 6 wood worms from Australia; 300 grams of camel meat from Morocco; 500 gr of Bulgur from Turkey; 1 liter of water from the Amazon River…>

Maria, an experienced programmer, creates the page in the blink of an eye and in no time at all, children from all over the world sign up to participate in the project.

The next day Uncle Luca, seeing strange movements in the house, asks the boys what they were up to. At first Nicola and Maria didn't say anything, but then they decided to let their uncle know about the project.

Uncle was a weird guy he worked as a hauler, but he always said he was a great artist. Perhaps he had the imagination to understand.

said the uncle He thought with a grin.

After a few days all the ingredients had arrived at their destination.

    said the uncle.

. He took a bag, put everything inside
