Foreword
Foreword to the first edition of 1997 under the title Working Together for the Harvest.
"As the return of Jesus draws closer and closer, the need for unity in the Body of Christ grows greater than ever. Unity between churches, denominations, and individual believers is not only what God wants for us but also what He requires. While every believer truly desires to see unity, our past attempts to bring it about in the church have often gone awry and ended up causing only more division and disunity.
Dan Gordon addresses this subject in a very frank and honest way. His words cut to the very core of the matter with a message that everyone can easily understand and take to heart. He is to be congratulated in daring to be so frank in sharing a subject that is so relevant for today.
—Late Charles and Frances Hunter, 1997
(Charles and Frances of Hunter Ministries were a very special couple authors of How to Heal the Sick, Holy Laughter, and many other books. We met in 1973 and over the years were with them in a number of meetings, including healing explosions and at the introduction of Holy Laughter in CA in 1994. They sent a large shipment of books to us in Thailand that we distributed at FGBMFI conventions and other meetings in Thailand.)
Introduction
We have seen it on the streets of the cities across the USA: riots, looting, destruction, anarchy of every kind, lying by the media, fake media, senators, congressmen, state judges, federal judges, governors, government officials in every department, federal states— everywhere. Officials everywhere, governors, mayors, congressmen, senators, with an agenda to control everyone, everywhere in every area of their lives by unconstitutional decrees in total violation of our constitution. Then they are enforcing these decrees as if they were law when they themselves know that only the state and federal legislatures have the authority to make laws—apostasy on the rise.
This is a war! A war? Yes, a war, not a war of guns, tanks, etc., and all these weapons that we normally think of in a war.
All of the actions I have listed above, though they are hardly the tip of an iceberg, are nonetheless only a symptom of the real war. We are, in reality, in a war, a war for the sole of this nation and for the souls of its citizens and the greater picture of even the whole world.
This war is different because it is a war of ideologies, thoughts, and purposes, a spiritual war. This war cannot be fought with physical weapons; those who use physical weapons are just acting out in the physical frustrations with the resistance they are experiencing to their global agenda.
The founding fathers focused on these items in writing the constitution, and this constitution has played a significant role in forming this nation and making America great. These founding fathers had a goal and purpose when framing the constitution, and they wrote this constitution with these goals and purposes in mind. The most significant premise is the Declaration of Independence, which states that the laws of nature and of nature’s God
give men an entitlement.
With all of these things going on, many are calling for unity. Unity in the political arena, in religion, in churches; so many are saying we need unity, but do they really know what unity is? Do they know what unity looks like? Do they know how to obtain unity? Do they even make a stab at some suggestions? Are they ready to pay the price to achieve unity?

brought forth on this continent a new nation,
conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal."
