About this ebook
Three teenagers in the suburbs burn though the monotony of stability. Simultaneously knowing that every day they face will be identical to those they already have, yet fully aware of the randomness that permeates all. And when stability is balancing on a thread, a little bit of random is all it takes to permanently knock it off.

I've been writing for a long time. One of my philosophies on the subject is that it's better to take what you learn and apply to your next project then to go back and continuously rewrite things you've already finished. Because of that, I have a number of works that I've completed that are sitting around, since I was too quick to jump to a new project instead of trying to do something with it afterwards.I've decided to take those and put them here, just have them out in the world in some fashion. I hope you like them, and if you're reading this thanks for taking the time

INT. SPORTING GOODS STORE - DAY
A stock boy is putting items away on a shelf. A manager
comes over to him and says something. The stock boy looks
annoyed and walks away. He goes across the store to the
baseball section. Their we see two teenagers playing with
the bats. Their names are Brad and Ethan. He walks over to
them and tells them to stop.
STOCK BOY
Hey, if you guys don't cut that out
my boss is gonna have to kick you outta
the store.
Text appears on the screen:
Name: Ethan Hall. Age: 19 years old. Info: Blade enthusiast.
Owns 10 Swiss army knives, 8 switch blades, 5 swords, 4
daggers, 3 throwing knives, and 2 multi-tools... No one
knows or cares why.
Ethan puts down the bat.
ETHAN
Sorry man.
The stock boy walks away.
Bard looks at him as he walks away.
Text appears on the screen.
Name: Brad Walker. Age: 19 years old. Info: Once gave
himself a wedge when he tripped near a doorknob.
BRAD
Jackass.
ETHAN
Come on man, he's just doin his
job.
BRAD
No he's not, he's being a dick! We
weren't doin anything.
ETHAN
We were fucking around.
BRAD
I don't care. He doesn't have to
threaten to kick us out. Thinks
he's so fuckin tough.
ETHAN
No he didn't, his boss does.
BRAD
(Thinks)
Fuck that. He could of told his
boss no.
ETHAN
Yea, then he wouldn't have a job.
BRAD
Not my problem.
ETHAN
Your right, which is why your
opinion on the matter is null and
void.
BRAD
Null and void? As a participant of
the situation in question, my
opinion is of the utmost
importance. Now, If this job, if
you can call it that, is so
important to him, then that means
he would rather be a spineless prick
than a real person and...
ETHAN
(Talking fast)
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! Are
you implying that spineless pricks
aren't people?
BRAD
Without a doubt.
ETHAN
How can you possibly say that? In
order for a person to be a spineless
prick, they must first be a person.
Therefore, are people.
BRAD
What are you talking about! Theirs
a huge difference between a person
and people.
ETHAN
What?
BRAD
Yeah. And you'd know that if you
were people.
Brad ruffles up an invisible collar on his shirt.
ETHAN
What? Now I'm not people either?
When did this happen? I fell like
people. You don't think I caught it
from that spineless prick do you?
Brad looks at Ethan with a deadpan face.
BRAD
This isn't going anywhere, is it?
ETHAN
No.
Ethan looks down the isle and sees the skateboard section.
ETHAN
Check it, they got new skateboards.
Ethan walks down the isle and grabs a skateboard off the
wall and jumps on it and plays around on it.
BRAD
Come on, can you even do anything?
ETHAN
Hell yeah I can do something.
Ethan tries and lands a kick flip.
BRAD
Yea? Now do it again.
