Growing up on a farm and spending most of my life living in the rural landscape I have always had a love of the natural world. This landscape and changes within village life features strongly in my writing. For many years I kept bees and their busy communal lives have always fascinated me and inspired my writing. I have usually written short stories and short factual pieces. The House on the Green is my first full length novel and draws much on my childhood spent in rural Middlesex and family tales.
