About this ebook
A mysterious message sends ex-spy James Ryker to New York—where he’s caught between the FBI and a mob war . . .
I need your help. Call me. Ex-intelligence agent James Ryker receives a coded message through a secret drop point, a means of communication known only to him and one other person. The problem is, that person is his ex-boss, Mackie . . . and he’s already dead.
But the cry for help is real, and it’s a request Ryker can’t refuse. Traveling to New York alone and without official sanction, Ryker has a single goal in mind, yet even he couldn’t have bargained for the violent world he’s soon embroiled in. Caught in the middle of spiraling chaos, with the FBI on one side and warring underworld bosses on the other, Ryker must put all of his skills to the test in order to come out on top and keep his word. In a world full of lies and deceit, loyalty is everything, and it’s time for James Ryker to pay his dues

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The Green Viper by Rob SinclairJames Ryker #4Starting a book looking through the eyes of a man about to be thrown from the roof of a building can be rather abrupt and daunting but it really worked as a prologue and tied everything together in the end. Not having read the first three books in this series made no difference in my ability to understand follow and enjoy this story of ex-agent James Ryker. His decision to do what he could to help out the son of a deceased colleague who has managed to immerse himself in the seamier side of life does not come without difficulties, though. This story caught my attention on the first page and held it all the way to the end. After that prologue I referred to we see James accessesomh one of his safety deposit boxes that has a message from someone he knows is long gone. In spite of knowing that he will likely be following the clues left behind by a dead man he determines to leave London for New York. Once there he does some reconnaissance work, determines that the young man he has gone to help is in big trouble and sets about trying to extricate him. In the process he meets up with an FBI agent, works with her and alone, has encounters with thugs and villains, is beaten and beats some others, kills a few and does what he can to fulfill his obligation to a man he admired and was as close to as a son to his father. At the end of the story there is an indication of what direction this book may take next and if I am guessing correctly, well, his life will definitely not be spent living peacefully in the countryside. Did I enjoy this book? YesWould I like to read more in this series? YesThank you to NetGalley and Bloodhound Books – This is my honest review. 4-5 Stars
