    Chapter 1

    Rebecca, you can’t be serious! Rebecca’s mother couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw the droopy-eyed teenager pick up her book-bag.

    Leave me alone, mother, the sixteen-year-old snapped. I know what I’m doing.

    "The doctor said you must stay at home for the remainder of the week to rest. And you agreed!"  

    Oh please, the teen rolled her eyes. Last month he gave you aspirin for your anxiety.

    Becca, your mom is right. It’s not wise that you go to school today, Rebecca’s father came out of the kitchen holding a half-buttered slice of toast. I’ll ask Mr. Edward to prepare a make-up exam for you when you’re better.

    "And what if he doesn’t?"

    Becca –

    Today is my Math exam, people! If I stay at home today, do you know what will happen? My math grade will drop and that smug bastard Susie Mc Pherson will have a better grade than I and I can’t let that happen – I just can’t!
