    Vampire Moments - Cassie Blake

Christina sat in the waiting room. She glanced at her watch. She was a little early but she knew Dr. Lowe was back from his lunch break, she had seen him enter his office. This was going to be her last session and she would be glad when it was over.

She had come here two months ago for her first session, convinced she was right about what had happened to her mother. Dr. Lowe had given her the tools to look back more clearly and see what had really happened. And now she had accepted it, it was time to move on, but he had been insistent that she finish her therapy so here she was.

She had been pleased on her first session when Dr. Lowe had laughed when she asked why she wasn’t laid on a couch. He had slowly but surely broken down her preconceptions in that first session and had gained her trust.

So today is your final session Christina, we will mainly be going back over your coping techniques. Firstly, I would like to ask you how you feel our sessions have gone. Do you feel like they’ve helped you?

Christina nodded. Yes, I really do. As you know, I was skeptical at first, but I’m a total convert now.

Dr. Lowe smiled. I’m pleased to hear that.

Dr. Lowe spent the next hour recapping the techniques he had shown Christina for coping with the dreams. At the end of the session, they were both confident that she had all the necessary tools to keep her calm.

"Thank you, Dr. Lowe, I really appreciate everything you’ve done for
