Only the strongest and most adaptable could survive the harsh terrain, the beasts, and the heartless people while coming out healthy and successful. Jack was determined to make a name for himself in the area. He grew up in the West, and he knew what it took to do it. He didn't have to look too far; his father, Butch, was one of the most known names in all of New Mexico. Butch was a well-known star in the up and coming rodeo circuit. He could round up cattle with his eyes closed, and he could trick ride with the best of them.

    Jack couldn't avoid the voices of the people in town. It had been that way his entire life. He grew up watching his dad perform, and he was easily as skilled as any other man his age in town. After all, he was trained by the best from a very young age. When Jack was only nine-years-old, he was a skilled horseback rider. As he got older, he continued to develop his skills. His father was extremely proud, but Jack secretly hated being under his microscope. He also hated being compared to him. Jack felt like his entire life had been planned for him since birth. He didn't hate roping and riding, but he didn't want to be forced into that career. He wanted to explore and see what else was out there for him. He couldn't really do that in New Mexico.
