About this ebook
Fifteen years. Two brothers. Angels and demons. A story like no other. And one of the most passionate fan bases of all time.
That's Supernatural.
There'll Be Peace When You Are Done: Actors and Fans Celebrate the Legacy of Supernatural is an emotional look back at the beloved television show Supernatural as it wraps up its final season after fifteen unprecedented years on air.
With heartfelt chapters written by both the series' actors and its fans—plus full-color photos and fan illustrations—There'll Be Peace When You Are Done traces Supernatural's evolution, the memorable characters created by its writers and brought to life by its talented actors, and the many ways in which the show has inspired and changed the lives of both its viewers and cast.
Both a celebration of Supernatural and a way of remembering what made it so special, this book is a permanent reminder of the legacy the show leaves behind and a reminder to the SPN Family to, like the series' unofficial theme song says, "carry on."
Featuring chapters from Jared Padalecki ("Sam Winchester") and Jensen Ackles ("Dean Winchester"), which include some of the most heartfelt and emotional things they've previously said about Supernatural that they want fans to remember—plus new reflections about Sam and Dean's legacy, There'll Be Peace When You Are Done also includes original contributions from:
• Richard Speight, Jr. ("Gabriel")
• Chad Lindberg ("Ash")
• Julie McNiven ("Anna Milton")
• Tahmoh Penikett ("Gadreel")
• Shoshannah Stern ("Eileen Leahy")
• Rick Worthy ("Alpha Vamp")
• David Haydn-Jones ("Arthur Ketch")
• Lauren Tom ("Linda Tran")
• And many more, including a special message from Misha Collins ("Castiel")
Edited by Lynn S. Zubernis, a clinical psychologist, professor, and passionate Supernatural fangirl, There'll Be Peace When You Are Done is the ultimate send-off for this iconic show that has touched and changed the lives of so many fans across all walks of life.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This collection of essays by fans of and cast members from Supernatural is all about the legacy of the show and how it has changed people's lives. As with the first volume (Family Don't End with Blood), some of the essays are better than others, with the ones from the cast members being the ones with the strongest general appeal. But there are also some real gems from fans in this volume, and for any member of the SPNFamily, this is kind of a must read, if for no other reason than to hang out in the feelings as the show ends (today!). Again, as with FDEwB, there are also lots of really lovely photos and fanart included that are a joy all by themselves.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Fans and actors reflect on the end of SPN, with essays from Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and others. The fans are often quite moving about what the show has meant to them, including when they critique its fridging origins. The actors speak a lot about inclusivity (both Jesse and César’s actors have pieces, as does Eileen’s, and hers is hilarious and the best of the bunch). Like Joe Biden I guess, the show has grown a lot in its understanding of the world around it.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I give this 5 stars because the content focuses on the lasting legacy of the show and the SPNFamily. I do appreciate the insight from fans, guest actors, and writers. I do agree with the critics who have stated that the editor should have expressly noted that the chapters "authored by" Jensen, Jared, and Misha are compilations of things they said in interviews over the course of the prior year. Yes, they did say those things. No they did not write those things. The speed to publication is not an excuse for this lack of editorial responsibility.
