A friend sent me this book in a box of Love Inspired books. I liked all the animals and how Ally cared about each one (and for each one). It was nice that Ally and Cody had a past history growing up together (rather than just meeting, falling in love, and getting engaged in a short period of time).I didn't guess who was causing the problems at Ally's clinic and shelter until it was revealed. I guess we were given a few clues as to who it might be, but considering the reveal came after the problem that prompted it had been resolved . . .The book also deals with parents/grandparents who've lost spouses finding a second love--and how weird it can feel to other family members.
