    She sat on the tall mountain cliff peering down over the great boulder. Silently she watched and listened. Far below her in the valley, the wild Akhal- Teke were gallantly running, their metallic coats glistening in the pre-dawn light. The sounds of their hooves beating flowing up to her.

    Her heat raced in her chest as she watched.

    Excitement running wild within her thoughts.

    It was said that to befriend one was nearly impossible. And to ride one? Oh, only a great fairy warrior would be able to conquer such a feat.

    What would those of the village say when she, the smallest fairy, not only rode one of these magical creatures but it chose to become her noble beast?

    Would they continue to make fun of her?

    Sneering down their noses? Would they still tell her that her mind was still dancing within the clouds? Will they still believe that she was best suited for tending the daisies?

    No, she wouldn’t allow them to continue. Not after she befriended of those great steeds. But she would show them what she had known all of her young life. She would prove to them that she would be the next great fairy queen.
