Organisations can be thought of as living entities comprised of individuals working toward a common goal. Appreciative Inquiry has the ability to change an entire organization by changing its people. Through positive questioning employees will be directed to move in a positive direction. Recognizing the strengths and values of what works, as opposed to what is wrong, will transform individuals thereby transforming organisations. Appreciative Inquiry is a shift from looking at problems and deficiencies and instead focusing on strengths and successes. It is a tool for change, and it will strengthen relationships throughout an organization.

About the Author

Jorge has a knack for writing and explaining difficult to understand concepts to people. He has had a varied professional life including management in large for profit and non-profit organisations, where he looked after teams of professionals by coaching them to success.

Jorge started his first business at 18 (the legal age to start a business in Australia) diagnosing and fixing computers for businesses. He did this from his room at his parent’s house! They always wondered what he was doing as he spent many hours in his room working on people’s machines.

He remembers fondly that he was able to make enough money one year to pay for his parents and 3 younger sisters to go to South America and visit family, all while keeping a little for himself too.

Jorge holds postgraduate degrees in Theology, education, education management, and strategic leadership. He also holds vocational qualifications in Training and Assessment, vocational education and design, Counselling, is a Master NLP Practitioner and Strategic Coach.
