Dear Readers,

Greetings in Jesus's name!

You will immediately notice, as you open this book and begin to browse through its pages, that it is different; different from any other religious book that you may have seen or read. It is different in its content, as well as, in its format. 

While practically everything in FASCINATING FACTS AND FIGURES is based on the Bible, like priceless gems and golden nuggets found in the rich field of Holy Scriptures, the difference is this—the authors of all Bible-based books tend to counsel us as to what we should or should not do, and that is how it should be. But FASCINATING FACTS AND FIGURES does not do this. It merely presents incidents, people, and facts just as they are found in the Scriptures.

What we're trying to say is that, while religious books and literature generally tend to give instructions, this book simply supplies you with information! We only pray that as you go through each chapter of this book, your interest in God's Holy Word will be intrigued so that you would want to dig even deeper into its endless timeless treasure chest of real-life stories, hidden in precious and amazing discoveries.

We conclude with this simple parable of profound significance by Jesus Himself.  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field. (Matt.13:44)

Foreword

It is an absolute privilege for me to write the foreword to this amazing book created by my personal Bible teacher and dearest Papa, Baxter Fanwar. As a child, I developed a growing curiosity and keen interest in the Bible because of the fascinating Bible stories he told us and his incredible mastery of the Scriptures.

To date, I remain in awe of his knowledge bank of Bible stories, personalities, events, prophecies, numbers, and facts! Like fine wine, he’s getting better with age. He’s digging deeper into the Word, having a richer understanding of the Scriptures, and discovering more interesting facts and information to share.  

What a blessing it was to be raised in a family that loves the Lord! Papa and my Mum, Leah, influenced us to love Jesus through their godly lifestyle and the happy Christian environment they had created in our home. Our daily family worship helped me develop the habit of reading God's Word every day.

The Bible stories and quizzes from Papa were always the highlights of our worship time. The quizzes would turn from pure fun to crazy competitive very easily! This family tradition continued with my children as Papa nurtured their knowledge and spiritual growth with Bible stories and his ever-engaging quizzes.
