Prologue

Twenty years ago, there was a Great War between the Six Kingdoms and The Renegades. It was brutal and costly; many soldiers died during the final assault. But, there was one man that gave his life for the victory. He was the called the Sky Warrior the peacekeeper and ultimate warrior of Sky Earth. He sacrificed himself to win the battle and the war. The Renegades were weaken and broken after the battle. Derric and Garret, the leaders of the Renegades were young and reckless but learned from their mistakes. They’ve sent the past years to rebuilding their army for another another war.

Boris the Sky Warrior died after the Great Battle. And all thought that the line ended with him but it didn’t. He had a son that he kept a secret. He only let a few people know about him. One of those were my parents and Hector the royal adviser. Boris told Alaya to take their son to the surface so that he’d be safe from the Renegades. She did what he asked her to do and went to the surface world. Twenty years have passed and my mother believes it’s time to start searching for Baron and Alaya. My name is Ariel, I am the princess that becomes the empress of the Sky Kingdom, and this is the story of the return of the Sky Warrior.

Chapter 1

A great battle is being fought outside of the Sky Kingdom. The emperor along with the Kings from the other five kingdoms are losing badly.

My lord the enemy has pushed us back into the kingdom. The gate is closed and with the barrier up the Renegades are being held out for the time being. Thou I fear that it will not be long until they break or find a way through. Hector informs the emperor.

Thank you Hector for informing me. How long do you think the gate will hold? He asks.

I’m not sure; it depends on what they use to breach the gate. Maybe a few hours or minutes, I cannot say for sure. Hector answers with uncertainty.

Thank you Hector. The emperor tells him.

Yes my lord. Hector replies.

The emperor looks around for Boris. Have you seen Boris? The emperor asks Hector.

No I’ve have not seen him, but if I were to start. I would start with Alaya. He suggests.

Thank you again Hector. The emperor said.

Yes my lord. Would you like me to go find him for you? Hector asks.

No, that won’t be necessity I will go look for him. A defense and maybe an evacuation plan needs to be made. I’d like you to do that with the other commanders and generals. He orders.

Yes, as you command my lord. Hector said obeying. Hector leaves the room and goes to find the other commanders and generals from the kingdoms. The emperor goes looking for Boris. He finds him where Hector said to start, in his room with Alaya holding his son. The empress is also in the room with them.

Boris I’ve been looking for you. The emperor tells him.

Why, what has happened? He asks.

It’s not good. The Renegades have pushed us back into the kingdom. The gate and shield barrier is keeping them out for the time, but it will not for long. At least that is what Hector thinks. Boris I don’t think we have a lot of time until they break through. The emperor informs him.

Don’t worry emperor I’ll lead the counter attack. I will not let Derric and Garret take our Kingdom or any of the other Kingdoms. Boris said. He looks at Alaya then down at Baron, then over to the empress who is holding Ariel.

If I have to die so that Baron and Ariel can live, then I will have done my duty. He said proudly. He passes Baron over to Alaya. Then he looks around at everyone.

I don’t know what will happen. But I promise you all that our kingdom will not fall to The Renegades. Boris tells everyone.

Boris I’m not telling you to kill yourself. The emperor tells him. Boris looks at the emperor with a face of duty.

I know but if that what it takes I will do that. Our children will not live in a world controlled by a group of outcasts! He shouts. Boris leaves the room and heads to the throne room. The emperor follows him begging him not to be so reckless.

Boris I can’t ask you to do this. The emperor begs. He keeps walking with the emperor beside him.

It’s my duty as The Sky Warrior to do so emperor. Boris said firmly But Boris think about your family? The Emperor insists.

Emperor they’re soldiers and warriors from this and other kingdoms down their holding the front line. Not knowing if they’re going to live. However, they know what and why they are fighting. I am no different from them and neither are you. He said firmly.

Seagal come to me. Boris commands. Through a big opening comes a big blue dragon.

You summoned me Master Boris? Seagal said.

Yes, it’s time for battle. Boris informs him. Very well just point me in the direction. Seagal answers. Boris climbs on to his back.

To the front gate. He orders.

Yes as you command. Seagal flies through two big entrance doors out of the throne room and on to the front gate.

As they fly over the kingdom, Boris sees soldiers and dragons heading to the main gate as well. They’re preparing for the Renegades assault. Boris lands near the gate. He dismounts from Seagal and looks for a commander in charge.

A soldier approaches him. Sky Warrior Boris we are so glad you are here. He said breathless.

Boris looks him in the face. Soldier tell me who is in charge? Boris commands.

Well sir our commander was killed in the retreat. No one was in charge until you got here. The soldier answers. Boris nods his head up and down.

I see well there is little time to waste we must get ready for their attack. Boris said hastily.

Yes sir so what are your orders. The soldier asks.

First, I need an exact number of soldiers and dragons we have. Second, I want this area cleared of people and dragons who cannot fight. Third, I want The Renegades watched all times. Fourth, I want three messengers so I can give my orders and receive reports without needing to move from my position. Okay you have your orders now get going there is no time to waste. Boris commands.

An hour goes by Boris has not left his position. Sky Warrior Boris! A Soldier hollers.

Yes, what do you have to report? Boris asks.

Your orders have been carried out as you have commanded. He reports.

Good now we wait for them. They will breach the gate no way around that. But we can be ready for them. Boris explains.

Hours have past and nothing happens. The sun is going down and the dark is starting to sit in. Boris I think we should get some rest while we can. Seagal suggests. Boris doesn’t like the idea but agrees with Seagal.

Okay I want to be awoken the moment something happens. He orders.

Yes sir we will awaken you the moment anything has happened. One soldier said. Boris climbs on to Seagal and they fly to a nearby outpost not far from the main gate. Boris finds a spot to lie down and rest. Seagal does the same. The night passes and then the sun starts to rise. The light wakes up Boris. He stands up starts to move then stretches to get more awake.

How odd they didn’t attack during the night. He said with suspicion.

I agree it is strange that we weren’t attacked last night. Seagal said agreeing.

Doesn’t matter Seagal we need to get back to the gate. Boris orders.

Very well climb on and we’ll get going. Seagal said. Boris climbs on to Seagal’s back and they take off. They quickly make it to their destination.

Sky Warrior Boris you’ve returned. A soldier said. Seagal lands and Boris dismounts

Yes give me a report. He orders.

Yes sir. There really isn’t much to report sir. The Renegades didn’t do anything all night. The soldier informs Boris.

Thank you for the report. Go get some sleep soldier you’ll need it. Boris said.

Boris stares at the huge gate. What are you planning Derric? He says to himself.

BORIS! He hears. He looks in the direction and sees Hector on Hawkeye.

Hector what brings you away from the safety of the palace? Also weren’t you supposed to be making plans? He teases.

Yes I was but I wanted to know the situation. Plus the emperor wants to know as well. Hector answers.

Well Hector they haven’t attack yet. But it’s only a matter of time when they do. Boris answers.

Hector is still speaking to Boris while dismounting. So basically they’re playing with us. Hector said instinctively.

Boris nods his head agreeing. I’m not sure what they’re doing but I’m staying here until they are not a threat anymore. He said with determination.

Very well I shall tell the emperor what you told me. Hector said. He mounts back onto Hawkeye and takes off back to the palace. Boris spends the whole morning watching and waiting for The Renegades to attack but nothing happens. The afternoon goes by still nothing happens. The sun starts to go down Boris is ready for an attack but it stays quit.

What are they planning? He asks himself. He climbs onto Seagal and tells him to fly above the huge gate. When Boris and Seagal get above the gate, he is horrified by what he sees. He spots a group of Renegades dragons pulling a very large battering ram big enough to destroy the gate. He sees them heading to the gate He orders Seagal back down quickly.

Messengers come to me at once! Boris orders. All three of them hurry to him quickly as they can.

We’re here we came as fast as we could Sky Warrior Boris. One said.

No time to waste get everyone up and ready for battle. The Renegades are making their move. He tells them. Within no time every soldier and dragon are assemble. Boris climbs onto Seagal’s back and orders him to hover above the warriors.

Today marks the end of this war! All you brave men and women have given blood, and I know you all would give more. As you go into battle, remember why you are doing so. For your brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, husbands, wives; daughters and sons. Remember those reasons. Remember that is why you are fighting! So, they can live in a world that is free of darkness! Fear is not a way of living. On the other side of that wall is a legion Renegades, coming to take that from you. What you love and care about. I say, LET THEM COME! LET’EM COME! Because when they come through those gates. We all will show them! WE ALL will show them and WE WILL DO IT AS ONE!

FORM RANKS AND LINE UP IN FRONT OF THE GATE! Boris orders.

Messenger! He commands. One of his messengers comes to him. Yes Sky Warrior Boris. He said.

I need you to go to the palace and tell the emperor and the other royals that the Renegades are going to attack very soon and they need to be ready. Also tell them I’ll hold here as long as I can. He orders.

Yes sir as you commands. He says. The messenger takes off on his dragon to the palace. Boris focuses on the gate and listens for the battering ram to start hitting the gate.

The messenger makes it to the palace. Hector greets him in the throne room. I bring a message from Sky Warrior Boris. He said with a hastily voice.

Yes what is it? Hector said with anticipation.

Yes he said to tell the royals to be ready for battle. The Renegades are going to attack soon. The messenger informs.

How they cannot attack from the air the shield barrier is up. Hector said baffled.

They are using a battering ram and are going to do a full out assault by destroying the gate. The messenger said.

Very well, I will see that the emperor and the royals get his message. Hector said.

Thank you I tell the Sky Warrior you got his message. Oh, he also said he would hold them off as long as he can. The messenger adds.

Tell him we will join as soon as we can. If not I will join him on front line shortly. Hector said.

Yes sir I will get the message. The messenger takes off and returns to the front line to Boris.

Hector makes his way to the conference chamber where all the royals are. The room has six guards on their dragons posted outside. He knocks on the door and proceeds in to the room.

I apologize for interrupting but I’ve been informed that the Renegades are on the attack and will breach our gate sometime today. Hector informs them. The emperor looks at him with disbelief. Hector are you sure of this? The emperor asks.

Yes, I’ve just received a message from Boris. Hector informs the emperor.

He said the Renegades are attacking and he would them off as long as he could. He adds.

I am going to join him on the front line. I cannot let him be there alone. He said.

I understand Hector but I can’t let you do that. The emperor objects. Hector gets enrage when he is told that.

Why can’t I? Hector protests.

Because Hector I need you here in the palace. The emperor bluntly answers.

No my lord I’m needed with Boris. He may be the Sky Warrior but he cannot take on the entire force of the Renegades alone! Hector shouts.

I understand you’re not pleased with my decision but I believe that’s the right thing to do. The emperor said firmly.

I don’t believe you. You are going to let our greatest warrior face an entire army with no one backing him. He yells frustrated.

Well I’m not I don’t care what you say. I’m joining him with or without your permission and if any of you royals wish to fight for your kingdoms come and join us. He said more frustrated. Hector walks out of the conference chamber and makes his way to the throne room. He calls for Hawkeye. As he does, he hears a voice. Hector. He turns and sees Alaya.

What brings you down here? He asks her

I wanted to know how Boris is doing. She answers.

I went and saw him yesterday so far he has not engaged the enemy yet. But they’re about to attack. He tells her.

Has the emperor sent anybody to help him? Alaya asks.

No the emperor or any of the royals haven’t. That’s where I’m going. To aid him and to show at least someone does care about him. Hector answers. Alaya approaches him gives a kiss on his right cheek.

Thank you Hector for everything you’re doing and have done. She tells him.

Boris is like a brother to me and I’d rather die with him in battle than do nothing. He boasts.

I’m grateful you’d do that just please be safe. She said grateful. He climbs onto Hawkeye and looks down at Alaya.

I’ll make sure he makes it back to you and Baron. He tells her as they take off.

Onward Hawkeye to the front gate. He orders. Hawkeye flies in the direction that Hector orders. As they are flying to the gate, he sees the Renegade dragons pulling the battering ram.

Oh my god that thing will breach the gate easily. He said to himself. He finally joins Boris at the gate.

Boris I’m here to join you in the fight. I saw what you were talking about in your message. He informs.

You saw the battering ram they got. Boris asks.

Yes they have been planning this attack for a long time and left nothing out. Hector answers.

How far from the gate were they when you flew down? Boris asks.

They weren’t far. I can’t give a good estimation. He answers.

Doesn’t matter I’ve done all the preparation I can do. It’s their move now. Boris said.

So for now we play the waiting game. Sounds like fun. Hector said tensely. They wait for about an hour when they hear a loud clash at the gate.

Boris they’re here at last. Hector said tense.

ALL RIGHT EVERYONE PREPEAR FOR BATTLE! Boris shouts.

He and Hector climb onto their dragons and ready themselves for battle. Another clash at the gate it is louder. Then after another clash, the gate starts to come apart. One more hit and the gate falls apart and opens.

A wave of Renegade warriors on their dragons rushes through the crumbled gate. The first rank of soldiers stands ready for the charge. The second rank stands ready to take to the air. The biggest Renegade warriors and dragons charges first. They charge the front rank as fast and hard as they can. They clash hard with the front line. Followed behind were Renegades in the air. Boris orders the second rank to ready their swords for an energy blast.

The dragons ready themselves to fire blast after the riders did their energy blast. The airwave came quick and hard. The Renegades where doing random, blast hitting a few warriors on the ground. All right, everyone wait for my command. Boris commands. Boris watches and waits for the wave to get almost above the rank.

They get where he wants them. EVERYONE FIRE! He orders. A blinding group of colors engulfs the air. Which is quickly, follow by a colorful fiery inferno. The blasts kills every warrior and dragon. The front line is holding strong The Renegades were struggling badly.

FRONT RANK PUSH THEM BACK TO THE GATE! Boris orders.

The frontline shoves the Renegade line back and quickly reforms. Every dragon shoots a blast of fire at once. A wave of fire engulfs The Renegades and it pushes them back to the gate.

Boris they’re falling back! Hector said with excitement.

Yes I see that Hector doesn’t mean they’re retreating either. Boris said uneasy. Then suddenly a very loud explosion happens at the gate. The broken gate falls with parts of the wall. A huge gap forms and behind it is a legion of Renegade warriors and dragons.

Boris if they get to the palace they will destroy the sky crystal that’s powering the shield barrier. Hector informs him.

I’m very aware of that Hector. That’s why we must hold them here and make sure none of the Renegades warriors get through. Boris said. Boris calls for a messenger. The messenger hurries to him.

Tell the emperor and the royals to have the palace heavily guarded, be ready to fight. He orders. The messenger hurries to the palace. He gets there and lands in the throne room. He asks one of the guards where the in the emperor is.

The emperor is still with other royals in the conference chamber. A guard informs him. The messenger runs toward the chamber. He finds the right door and opens it. He runs in

I bring a message from The Sky Warrior; He says to have the sky crystal well-guarded and that the Renegades are doing a full assault. He informs them.

Very well, tell Boris we will guard the sky crystal with every soldier and dragon we have. The emperor answers.

Assemble every guard and place them around the sky crystal. He orders.

Return to Boris and give him the message. The emperor commands Yes my lord right away. The messenger said. He leaves the palace and returns to Boris.

Sky Warrior Boris I’ve done as you commanded. The emperor is doing what you told him, every guard is being placed around the sky crystal. He informs him.

Good now we need to hold them here. He said. He looks at the big gap and sees the Renegade army. They are lining and stacking up to charge. Boris orders the back ranks stack on top of front rank.

Every Renegade warrior charges through the gap and clashes with kingdoms ranks chaos forms. Energy and fire blasts are being shot in every direction. Boris and Hector are watching from a safe distance. Hector spots two familiar figures.

Boris do those two men look familiar? He asks.

Yes Hector they do. I think that is Derric and Garret. Boris answers. They see them bolt through the chaos.

Boris they’re heading for the palace! Hector said.

Yes I see that. I’m going after them. Hector you stay here and take command I’ll stop those two. Boris said with an intense voice.

Yes, as you command Boris you be careful. Hector replies. Boris takes off in their direction. He keeps his distance so they do not spot him. He follows them to the palace. They find an unguarded entrance and easily make it in. Boris follows through the same entrance. He dismounts from Seagal and follows them. He draws his sword and keeps his distance. He notices that their dragons are not with them. He only sees the men. As he does, he hears footsteps behind him.

He and Seagal quickly turn and see two grey dragons. Well…Well Sky Warrior Boris. A voice says. Boris turns around in the direction. He sees Derric and Garret. He points his sword at the two. I should’ve known you two would do a full attack and sneak through. He said.

You know us very well Sky Warrior. Derric said arrogantly.

The assault on the front gate was a distraction so we could get by. He adds.

You didn’t think someone would notice you? Boris asks.

Not really but you always have to plan for everything. Derric answers. He draws his sword and shoots an energy blast at Boris.

Boris deflects it Garret fires a blast after Derric. Boris deflects it too. Derric looks Grim his dragon and is telepathically, ordering him to attack Boris from behind. Garret orders Blaze to attack Seagal. Derric and Garret were at a standoff with Boris distracting him so that Grim could get an easy kill. Seagal and Blaze are having a brutal fight. The two were shoving each other and trying to blast fireballs. Boris hears the fight but knows he cannot take his eyes off Garret and Derric. Grim is directly behind Boris waiting for Derric’s command to pounce.

Seagal sees Boris but cannot get to him with Blaze on top of him. Then from out of nowhere, an energy blast and fireball hits Grim knocking him back into Blaze freeing Seagal. Boris is shocked to see who it is. Derric and Garret turn in the direction of the blasts and see the emperor and his dragon.

I didn’t expect to see the emperor what a great honor it is to see you. Derric said arrogantly.

The emperor glares at Derric. Well Derric your arrogance will get you killed. He responds.

Arrogance by what do you mean? Derric said arrogantly.

By thinking you can sneak into my palace without me knowing you wouldn’t try to go after the shield barrier. The Emperor said.

The Emperor draws his sword and points it at Derric. Boris points his at Garret.

Do you two think you have us? Well, think again. Derric boasts. He raises his sword above his head.

Garret close your eyes and tell Blaze to do the same. He orders.

You don’t need to worry about Blaze and Grim they’re not in the area. Garret replies. Derric releases an energy blast that blinds everyone accept Garret. The four take advantage and hurry to the crystal chamber.

Boris, The Emperor and their dragons get their sight back and see that Derric and Garret are gone.

They’re heading to the crystal chamber! The emperor said. Along their way to the crystal chamber Derric and Garret run into guards but easily kill them. They get to the crystal chamber door. It is sealed shut.

Garret I going to need your help to get it opened. Derric tells him.

Okay. What do you need me to do? He asks. I am going to need you to blast the door with me. Derric answers.

The two place themselves next to each other and blast the door with everything they have. The emperor and Boris make their way to the crystal chamber. They find dead guards and dragons. We are very close Boris. The Emperor said.

Suddenly they hear a small explosion. That was the crystal chamber door we must hurry! The emperor shouts. They both start running. They quickly get there and see the door broken wide open. They enter the chamber as they do they’re suddenly ambushed by Blaze and Grim. You two are going no further. Grim tells them.

We don’t have time for this Seagal hold them. Boris orders. Seagal and White Draco charge Grim and Blaze. Boris and The Emperor get pass the fight and proceed on. They see Derric and Garret at the base of the crystal. Boris fires an energy blast at the two. They turn to look in the direction. Well you two made it. Derric said surprise.

You didn’t think we were going to let you destroy our Sky Crystal did you? The Emperor said.

I do not care what you think I am destroying the crystal do not try to stop me. Derric tells them. The Emperor charges him but Garret blocks him.

Get out of my way Garret. He commands.

No, I will not. He said firmly.

Hold them Garret it won’t take me long. Derric commands.

Boris, stop Derric and I’ll handle Garret. The emperor orders. Boris runs pass Garret and The Emperor and catches up to Derric.

Stop right their Derric. Boris orders. Derric has had enough and swings at Boris. He parries the swing and shoves him back. Boris and Derric are at a standoff. Derric energizes his sword and swings at Boris again. Boris barely dodges the strike.

Derric swings again and Boris dodges again. He is swinging to recklessly. Boris said to himself. Derric keeps swinging
