Introduction
Imagine the village of Benvenuto, Italy. It is near Naples and
small as most villages are, nestled among the vineyards.
Neighbors are more than friends, they are family!
Italians like to talk with the hands as well as with the voice.
Italians like nothing better than to argue back and forth
about anything and anyone around them.
Such was the village where Giovanni Delfino was born.
So the Fine name extends back to its Italian roots before
emigration to America.
Life changed for Giovanni when he left Benvenuto. That’s
not all that changed as you, the reader, will discover.
Our family name began in Buffalo, New York
