AUTHOR’S NOTE
President Obama recently tweeted these words:
"We’ve seen all too terribly the consequences of those who denied warnings of a pandemic. We can’t afford any more consequences of climate denial. All of us, especially young people, have to demand better of our government at every level and vote this fall."
HE’S RIGHT.
And reports about the improvement in air quality and water quality abound in the news these days. In fact, when we all stayed home during the pandemic, carbon emissions dropped 17%.
So, if the coronavirus epidemic has taught us anything, it has taught us two things:
– Preemptive action makes the difference.
– Our Earth is so willing to heal if we give her a chance.
LET’S REMEMBER THIS AS WE MOVE FORWARD.
