Riley and Asha couldn’t wait to get to Grandma and Poppy Beans’ house. Their eyes were as wide as dinner plates with anticipation at what great adventures were bound to unfold there.
Poppy Beans will be reading in the library and there is always the possibility that the eccentric neighbour, Lord Leese, may stick his head over the fence and mumble an alliteration or adjectival clause in his booming Welsh accent.
Grandma Beans had been baking all day and the smell of cooling cupcakes nearly overwhelmed the smell of fresh, chicken and vegetable soup. Riley and Asha breathed deep as they ran into the hacienda styled house. Down the long timber hallway they could see Grandma waving and a small black dog running towards them. The dog had half flopped ears and white socks on each foot but appeared to
