Ancient Greece is referred to as the Cradle of Western Civilization
. A mountainous peninsula, this is where democracy was first created. It is also the source of many great stories and advancements in philosophy, science, math, and medicine.
The ancient eras, Classical and Hellenistic are considered to be the most splendid of all. These two eras have given the world wonderful concepts, ideas, and art that became the very foundation of western civilization.
The history of ancient Greece is divided into six major eras: Stone Age, Bronze Age, Dark Ages, Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic.
