I was always a very positive person, and when I went into the ministry, I was shocked and deeply disturbed by how people talked about sickness and disease and death. The longer I was in the ministry, the more I became aw

Live 120 Years in Good Health - Stan Yonker

    Dedication

God is love! He loves us with an everlasting love. He wants the best for us. He has given us His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus took the penalty for our sins on the cross of Calvary. He gave Himself for us that we might have eternal life—God’s life. Life that is so wonderful and powerful. Life that is supernatural. Life that overcomes all the evil of this world. Life that is filled with love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control. He is the giver of life. I dedicate this book to my Lord Jesus Christ. My prayer is that He will open your eyes and give you understanding that you might receive the eternal life that He offers. May He draw you unto Himself that you might know Him and the power of His resurrection and walk with Him in the power of His Spirit all the days of your life.

    Foreword

I count it a privilege to write this endorsement of this book written by Pastor St an Yonker.

I feel this book is written primarily to Christians who feel very comfortable in their walk with Christ. That is the exact person the devil wants to weaken through subtle temptations.

I pray that, after reading and studying this book, you will become acutely aware of the small and large attacks of the evil one. God is the giver; Satan is the taker.

Christians who align themselves with God’s purposes will receive his blessings.

Pastor Stan’s book has an abundance of scripture to back up each plan and to help us overcome everything Satan is trying to do. Even if we don’t reach 120 years here on earth, it will be exciting beating the devil with God’s help.

So to Pastor Stan and all Christians: it’s full speed ahead. To God be the glory!

    Brother Bert Bowen

    Introduction

It is of utmost importance that you, the reader, realize that the idea of living for 120 years in good health is not just wishful thinking dreamed up by the author. This book is based on the principles put forth in the Word of God, the Bible. The Bible is God’s book of life. It is God’s voice to us today.

In Live 120 Years in Good Health, I have quoted and referred to the Bible many times because it is the foundation upon which we can build 120 healthy years. If we do the principles God puts forth in His Word, we will become proof producers of His Will—120 years in good health. But we must DO what He says.

Science is discovering almost daily that man should live longer. The human body is capable of lasting longer than seventy to eighty years. I believe science is only discovering what has already been determined by the Creator—120 years in good health.

My purpose in writing this book is to awaken you to the Will of God in your life and to inspire you to make 120 years in good health as your goal. Think of the pain and suffering that would be avoided if we would live according to God’s Will and fulfill His Word in our lives. Think of hundreds, even thousands, of people living healthy, loving, joyful, prosperous, long lives. Think of a group of people living for 120 years and in good health. What a wonderful testimony that would be to the love of God. All things are possible with God (Matthew 19:26). Also, All things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

I pray that you will decide that the principles in this book are the truth. Then make a commitment to live your life in power and victory with great hope and expectation so that you can be a blessing to a sick and dying world. You can be a proof producer that God truly loves us and His Word is true. Purpose in your heart to glorify God and be a blessing to people by living for 120 years in good health.

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death (Philippians 1:20).

    Chapter 1

    THE VISION

James 5:14 asks the question, Is any sick among you? The letter of James was written to Christians (James 1:1-2). So the question is directed to believers in Christ. Today we could ask the question, Is any healthy a mong you?

The Body of Christ is riddled with sickness and disease, both physical and mental. Hospitals are full, and we are building bigger and better ones. Mental institutions are overcrowded, and many of the patients are Christians. There is no distinguishing difference between the world and the Body of Christ where health is concerned. There are just as many Christians sick and mentally ill as there are nonbelievers.

We are approaching the last days, and Jesus is coming for a spotless bride, one that is holy and without spot, blemish, or wrinkle (Ephesians 5:27). This is certainly not the church as it is today. He is coming for a healthy, powerful Body of Christ, one in which the people of the world can see a difference, one that is spiritually and physically healthy.

The Bible teaches, and we emphasize, eternal life, abundant life, and new life. I want to awaken you to the LONG LIFE FOR THE NEW CREATION. You can live to be at least 120 in good health! Everyone is interested in living longer. IT IS POSSIBLE!

With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

The Word of God reveals that it is God’s Will that His people are healed—spirit, soul, and body. He has provided healing through the New Covenant (Testament). And Jesus is the surety of this new and better way (Hebrews 7:22).

When you discover the promises of God in His Word concerning healing and health, you will see that God’s Will for the believer is long life! Long life is the result of healing and health.

I made this discovery many years ago and now claim the promises of God for myself and my family (Psalm 91:16). At the present time, I am seventy-seven years old. I expect to live to be at least 120 years old (Genesis 6:3). I will live long in good health, walking with the Lord Jesus and serving Him faithfully and enthusiastically until the day comes that He appears on the clouds of glory to take us home.

Because of the promises in God’s Word for healing, health, and long life, I envision the Body of Christ on earth as being healthy, living long, and loving the Lord. Thousands will live to be 120 years or more with strength as a witness to the power and love of God in Jesus Christ!

The world will see a difference. They will begin to ask, Who are those ‘healthy ones’ who live so long? How do they do it? What power and love! They are so healthy at such an age! I’ve tried doctors, surgery, health foods, diets, exercise, and everything under the sun, with no results. Why, they are so healthy, and they have such love and wisdom! Why, it’s almost as if Jesus Himself were here.

Think of the powerful witness to the world! They will come to you for the answers! Think of thousands of Christians over one hundred years old and still healthy and working with love and excitement for the Lord!

Read this book. Read the Word of God, the Bible. Take God’s promises as the truth. Begin to believe in long life with me. Begin to confess life and health and prosperity for yourself and family to the glory of God.

God is raising an army in these last days; a healthy, powerful, loving army that will be a shining light to a sick and dying world. Become part of the army, friend, by believing God and receiving the blessings of Abraham. Make a quality decision as you read this book, that God’s Word is true. The promise of health and long life is for you, in Jesus’ name, to the glory of God the Father.

You can accept or reject this truth. Don’t just mentally agree that it is a nice idea or a wonderful dream. At least 120 years in good health is according to God’s Word. God’s Word is truth (John 17:17), and His truth works. Allow this truth to dominate your whole being. Believe it, think it, speak it, and act on it. Long life is yours according to God’s Word, but you must be willing to receive it into your heart (spirit). You must let the seed of God’s Word take root in your heart. Then it will spring forth and bear fruit a hundredfold! (Mark 4:20).

This book is written in faith, believing God’s Word will be planted in the hearts of His people, and there will be a tremendous witness of God’s love to the world through believers living long healthy lives.

Healing and health is promised to the believer in God’s Word (3 John 1:2). If God wants you well and healthy, then it stands to reason He also wants you to live a long life. Live 120 years in good health is written so the people of God can begin to defeat the enemy (Satan) and thus bring into being through the Word of God a healthy, powerful bride of Christ ready for His return!

As you read this book, I challenge you to consider starting a long life group. You can invite your family, friends, neighbors, fellow workers, or anyone. Think of the power in a group of people who are thinking, believing, and loving the same way. There’s power in unity. You can order copies of this book for your group by phone or mail. The address and phone number of the publisher are on the back of the book.

    Chapter 2

    A STARTLING STATEMENT!

"W e can live to be 120 years or more in good health, if we want to !" That truly is a startling statement!

I can just hear you say, That’s impossible! We can’t live that long, and besides, we don’t have anything to say about how long we live!

"Oh yes, we do! God tells us in His Word in Psalm 91:16 that He will satisfy us with long life! It’s up to us how long we live! He will satisfy us!"

Why, that’s preposterous, you say. You are promoting a lie! That can’t possibly be true!

"Well, if it’s a lie, then God’s a liar. But God is not a liar. ‘Let God be true and every man a liar’ (Romans 3:4). ‘God’s Word is true’ (John 17:17)."

Well, you say, where is your proof? I don’t see or even hear of any Christians living to be 120 years or over. I am sure if it were so, it would be on the TV or in the newspapers.

You are right. There is very little evidence of ‘long life’ among the people of God. In fact, just the opposite is happening. Millions of God’s people have died miserable deaths after living only a short time. Many have died after suffering for years. Many have died at an early age. Even right this moment, countless numbers of Christians are sick and dying terrible deaths.

Well, how can you say such a thing then, that we can live 120 years or more if we want to?

I can say it because God said it! We haven’t believed God’s Word in the past concerning healing, health, and long life. We have believed that God gives us cancer or heart attacks or accidents to teach us a lesson or to get our attention. We have believed that God ‘takes us’ when we die. We have actually blamed God for the tragedies, sickness, misery, and death in the world.

But, you say, He is in control of all things, isn’t He? Nothing happens unless it’s His Will, right?

"Not exactly. We forget that in the beginning, there was no sickness or death. Not until Satan entered into creation did sickness and death appear. And then Adam and Eve had to give him place or the opportunity, or he never would have been able to start his dirty work. God is the author of life and health. Satan is the author of sickness and death. In fact, the Bible says that Satan had the power of death. Read it in Hebrews 2:14 and 15. Satan had the power, is in the past tense. Jesus has defeated Satan and given us life! (John 10:10; Revelation 12:7-12)."

You mean to tell me that you are claiming that all the sickness and death in the world is due to the devil?

That’s right! That’s what God’s Word teaches. Jesus came to earth to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). Sickness and death are works of the devil. And the reason why so many Christians are suffering and dying terrible deaths is because they have never really believed God concerning what He has promised in the area of health and long life here and now in this life! In fact, they blame Him, unintentionally, for their misery! God’s Will is that we prosper and be in health even as our soul prospers (3 John 1:2). But if we don’t believe Him, we give place to the devil to raise havoc in our lives (Ephesians 4:27). How can God help us or do anything for us if we don’t believe Him?

Well, why doesn’t God do something about it?

"He has! He sent Jesus to give us life and give it to us more abundantly (John 10:10). Jesus came and died for the sins, sickness, and death in the world. God has spoken to us through His Son (Hebrews 1:2). In fact, Jesus is the very WORD OF GOD! We must believe in Jesus.

You mean, if I believe in Jesus, I can live long, maybe even 120 years here on this earth and in good health?

That’s right! That’s God’s Will for you. There is no glory to God in all the sickness and misery in the world! But He does receive glory when His people are healthy and prosperous and living long lives as He has promised in His Word.

Well, what must we do then?

We must change our minds about health and life. We need our minds renewed by God’s Word so we can prove that it is His Will that we live long healthy lives. The sooner we receive and act on this truth, the better. We must not conform to the thinking of this world and their ideas about the life span of man, but we must be transformed by the very voice (Word) of God (Romans 12:2).

So what you are saying is that if I begin to believe God and act upon what His Word says, I will live a long and healthy life. It could be that I will live for 120 years or longer and in good health too.

Yes, to His honor and glory! It’s time this business of sickness and death in the Body of Christ gets turned around. It’s time we live lives in tune with God’s Word. The world needs to see a difference in us. We should be examples, witnesses, evidence to God’s love and mercy.

Well, I’ll say one thing for sure. It sure is a wonderful thought. It is not only a startling statement, but it is a good idea, a wonderful plan. It would be great if we could live long and healthy. I can just imagine all the good that could come. It certainly would be a blessing if we could learn to be healthy and live long prosperous lives.

"Yes, what a blessing God has given us! It sure is time that we believe Him and receive His blessings of health and long life. It is up to us! He wants to satisfy us with long life! It is His Will! Keep reading this book and you will see that we should live for 120 years in good health according to God’s Word!"

    Chapter 3

    THE NEW CREATION

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

    —2 Corinthians 5:17

God’s promises are so wonderful and exciting! GOD IS SO GOOD! He loves the world! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God has done everything to redeem mankind from sickness, poverty, and death.

The promises in His Word made it possible for believers in Jesus Christ to live exciting, abundant, full, healthy lives. GOD HAS SPOKEN IT! He has made it possible to SUPERNATURALLY receive health, power, and long life by acting on His Word, acting on what He has said! His promises are fulfilled in the life of the believer as he receives them by faith (Hebrews 11:6).

In order to understand and act on the promises of God, you must be a NEW CREATION IN JESUS CHRIST! Even if you have confessed Jesus as Lord and are IN HIM, you must know what has happened to you in the Spirit. Then you will be able to understand and act on God’s promises to you. This is true of God’s promise of long life in perfect health. Therefore, it is essential that you are a new creation in Christ and that you know what that means for you.

So before we get into the subject of long life for the new creation, I want to share the good news of the new creation in Jesus Christ and how it happens according to God’s Word.

First of all, we must understand that God is a Spirit. Jesus said, God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

God created man in His image. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them (Genesis 1:26-27).

In the beginning, God and man walked and talked together (Genesis 3:9). They had fellowship and communion with each other. Man was created a spirit being in the image and likeness of God that he might communicate with His Creator. Man was created just a little lower than God.

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor (Psalm 8:5). That should read, "Hast made him [man] a little lower than God." The King James Version reads angels, but the correct translation is God. The Hebrew word here is Elohim. It is the same Hebrew word that is used in Genesis 1:1. "In the beginning ‘God’ [or Elohim] . . . " The thought of the Hebrew in Psalm 8:5 is that man is created just a shade lower than God.

Man was created as nearly like the Father God as possible. He was God’s companion and underruler (Genesis 1:28). God created man to satisfy His Fatherly Heart. God’s desire was to have love and fellowship and bless man. That’s still His perfect Will today!

Man is basically a spirit being because he is created in the likeness of God and God is a Spirit.

    "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Thessalonians 5:23;

all emphasis in quoted matter mine). According to this scripture you are made in three dimensions. You are basically a spirit, you possess a soul (mind, emotion, and will), and you live in a body.

The spirit of man is the dimension of man that deals with the spiritual realm. It is the real you. It is the dimension of man that knows God and has communion with God. The Bible often refers to this dimension of man as the heart.

The soul of man is the dimension of man that deals with the mental realm. This is man’s intellect, sensibilities, and will (mind, emotions, and will). It is the part of man that reasons and thinks. The Bible also refers to this dimension of man as the mind.

The body is the dimension of man that deals with the physical realm. This is the house in which you live. This is the realm of the touch (feel), taste, hearing, smell, and sight. The Bible often refers to this dimension of man as the flesh or as carnal. It is the realm of the senses.

You contact the spirit realm with your spirit. You contact the intellectual realm with your soul. And you contact the physical realm with your body through your senses.

Many believe that the soul and the spirit are the same. But this is not true (1 Thessalonians 5:23). It is very important that you understand that they are not the same. If you don’t, you will never really understand what it means to be born again, born of the Spirit, born from above, born of God (John 1:13; 3:3,5,8). You won’t understand what it means to be a new creation in Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again (John 3:3,5-7).

In the words of Jesus, you can see that it is absolutely necessary that you understand that you are spirit and that you are born again by the Spirit of God. You were first born of your human parents (of the flesh). You are born again of the Spirit of God in your spirit when you believe in your heart (spirit) that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with your mouth (out loud) that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9-10)!

Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Notice that the Word of God divides the soul and the spirit. If they were the same, they couldn’t be divided. Only the Word of God will give you revelation on this truth and set one apart from the other. The Word will reveal to you the difference between these two dimensions of man. God’s Word literally divides them and gives us understanding about how we are created and recreated in Jesus Christ!

The real you is spirit, created in God’s image to be able to communicate with your Father God. The Word of God calls the real you, the inward man. "For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man [body] perish, yet the inward man [spirit] is renewed day by day" (2 Corinthians 4:16).

"But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price" (1 Peter 3:4).

Here God calls our spirit the hidden man of the heart. "To be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man (Ephesians 3:16). But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God" (Romans 2:29).

You are spirit, soul, and body. Think of yourself in that order: spirit, soul, and body; not body, soul, and spirit. Your spirit must dominate the body (flesh) and the soul (mind, emotion, and will). It is important that the inner man is in control.

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection; lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway (1 Corinthians 9:27). Notice the Word says, "‘I’ keep under my body . .  and ‘I’ bring it into subjection . . . " Who is I? I is the man on the inside, the real man, the inner man, the eternal man, the hidden man of the heart. The inner man is to keep his body (flesh) under subjection. You don’t let your body rule you. You don’t let your body or your mind dominate you. The real you rules your body and your mind. The inward man, the spirit man is to rule. That’s how Adam ruled in the beginning, through his spirit man, as he walked and talked with God. It was in the realm of the Spirit.

Now the problem is that the first Adam committed high treason against God. Adam knowingly and deliberately disobeyed God and obeyed Satan. In this act of high treason, Adam exchanged fathers (John 8:44). He actually gave Satan the dominion that God had delegated to him (Genesis 1:26-28). Satan now had man’s dominion

(Luke 4:5-6). At this point in time, Adam became separated from the Father God. He received the nature of Satan, the death nature. Adam died spiritually. Adam was literally born again into Satan’s nature, which is spiritual death.

To be spiritually dead does not mean that his spirit ceased to exist, but that he became separated from God, the source of life. Adam’s relationship and fellowship with God was broken. His spirit died, and he began to be ruled by the flesh (senses) and the mind. The fleshly mind is in enmity with God (Romans 8:7).

Satan then became the god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4)

and gained the dominion that God had given to man. Because of the separation from God, physical death, sickness, disease, misery, hatred, sin, and all forms of ungodliness entered into the world through fallen man. Satan became man’s spiritual father (John 8:44-47) and all mankind now has Satan’s nature—spiritual death, separation from God. Adam died physically 930 years later as a result of spiritual death, separation from God (life).

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12). The word death in this passage refers to spiritual death, separation from God. All mankind is lost, separated from God and unable to enjoy the fellowship and blessings of God the Father. Spiritual death, Satan’s nature, has passed unto all men. All men are born of the flesh, born into sin, born spiritually dead—separated from God.

But God has come in the flesh (John 1:1-3,14). Jesus came to destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil (Hebrews 2:14). Jesus has come to save that which is lost

(Luke 19:10). Those who receive Jesus (life) and believe in His name shall have authority or the privilege to become sons of God (John 1:12-13). When you receive Jesus, when you believe in His name, you are not born of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Jesus said you must be born again, born of the Spirit, born of God; otherwise, you cannot enter the kingdom of God. When you receive Jesus and confess Jesus as Lord of your life, you literally change lords! Your spirit comes alive, the real you! You become alive to God the Father. You are born of God, born of the Spirit of God, and you become a child of God created in Christ Jesus, after the image of God! You begin to walk in the Spirit (Romans 8:5-8).

You walk by faith (2 Corinthians 5:7; Hebrews 10:38). You begin to learn and grow to walk with God as His child. Your ability to communicate with God in the Spirit is established. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God (Romans 8:16).

Christ has redeemed you (Galatians 3:13). You are made right before God through Jesus, and you can now consider yourself in the family of God with family rights with the Father. You have the promise of the Spirit through Jesus (Galatians 3:14).

That doesn’t mean just the infilling of the Holy Spirit, but it means ALL SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS IN HEAVENLY PLACES (Ephesians 1:3). That is God’s new covenant with you in Christ.

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (2 Peter 1:2-4).

    God has given us everything
