    Summary

Legendary Landscapes is a book of images illustrated with words. Inspired by the Dindshenkus, ancient poems from the bardic oral tradition, a guide map in poetry to the Legendary Landscapes.

The heroes and heroines of legend are portrayed in their landscapes and tell their own stories. Then into the present, the search for these magical places in the landscape, was quite an adventure.

This book is just the beginning; the artist/author will have to live another 2,000 years to complete the series of Legendary Landscapes.

    About Veronica Heywood

Veronica Heywood, Artist, Environmentalist and Arts Educator; born in Australia; childhood spent in Hong Kong; studied Art at Central St Martin’s, London. Fell in love with Ireland on a family Holiday and never left; painting around the Irish landscape and drawing out the talents of others, ever since. Suffered from Painter’s block as a result of an accident; attended creative writing groups instead and thus was inspired to write. Thinking that she might suffer from writer’s block as well and get mentioned in the Guinness Book of Records for having the greatest number of blocks; that won’t happen, as she has had a couple of works published. Watch this space for the third publication combining both her writing and her painting.
