Acknowledgements
I honor my mother Colleen , who was a young girl during the depression era and was deeply affected by the sense of lack. The hard times she lived through as a young, impressionable child contributed to her need to keep things that might be used some day. I didn’t understand it then, but I do now. At 93-years old, she is still teaching me valuable lessons. Only now the lessons are about acceptance and grace.
A huge thank you to family and friends who encouraged me as I left the corporate world and started my own professional organizing business. Your support fuels me every day.
This book would not have happened had it not been for my trusting clients. Your willingness to be vulnerable and to ask for help is acknowledged and appreciated.
Thank you to my first readers. I appreciate your constructive, helpful, and kind input. Thank you Mallary Tytel, Ph.D., Alana Roberts, Sharyn Jordan Hathcock, Diane Elarde, Nancy Tossell, Donna Smallin Kuper, Paulette Ensign, and Scottie Jones.
Thank you to my final editors, Lesli Pintor and Elizabeth Kimmie Smith, and to my book designer, Yolie Hernandez of AZ Book Design. Your role in my journey has helped me create this tool for those who need it most.
