    About the Author

Sandee Freese is a retired upper-elementary school teacher who taught reading to third, fourth, and fifth grade students. She has learned from experience that students of this age level want to independently read ‘chapter books’ like their older siblings or acquaintances.

She has also observed that this age level child loves idioms and is fascinated with solving mysteries. Children of this age also like fantasy so they can use their imaginations. The Core Mystery was created to give them all these features as well as to give them a clear understanding of the Gospel.

Mrs. Freese lives in Washington State, and she is married to Jim who is an orchardist who grows apples, pears, and cherries. One day while walking through their orchard, the thought struck her concerning the wonder of fruit trees and that they give their fruit to mankind each year. She marveled at the fact that fruit trees have been on earth since Creation and that they will also be represented in heaven. It was at that moment God seemed to put these ideas into her thoughts about a book, and they blossomed into this lighthearted book which is written in an easily understood format in order to bring the Gospel and its deep mystery to light.

It is her prayer that this book would bring readers and listeners to a greater knowledge and appreciation of the Scriptures as well as to a greater love and appreciation for our God and Savior, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

May this book produce a childlike awe for the mysteries of God as He has revealed them in Scripture - Sandee Freese
