    DEDICATION

This work is dedicated to my friend and savior, the Miracle Maker, and my granddaughter Hadley, who at the innocent age of eighteen months stood with both hands firmly planted on either side of a small crack between pocket doors. The expectation of the unknown wonders in the next room illuminated her face as she peeked through the doors into the darkness of the other side. This little miracle let me see how much more we should peer with expectation as we peek through the pearlies into the light.

Her little sister Calloway once asked a little friend if she believed in the wind. The child responded that she did. Calloway then asked if the other little girl had ever seen the wind, and the answer was no. Calloway then wanted to know if the little girl had ever seen what the wind had done, and the answer was yes. And so, it is with child-like belief in the Miracle Maker.

    Foreword

This little treasure is a great big reminder that miracles still happen; they always have. How do we stop listening and seeing how miraculous God is? This book encourages the reader to hear the way God tries to speak to us. In other ways, it prompts the reader to stay open to God’s attempts to speak to others through us. The true-to-life stories in this book are exemplary of God’s gentle prompting to look for expressions of his love in all of life’s moments. No matter how or why our senses are dulled to God’s miracles, he is relentless in his pursuit of our attention and affection. Read; listen; enjoy.

The rarest and truly most cherished experiences in life take many years of living to be realized. It is after these experiences we often lament on not having kept a written record. Compiled in these pages are true stories penned by an author who always remembered when God touched her heart. These are the short stories you will never forget.
