Daniel’s 483-years plus 285 days ends with the Crucifixion of Jesus on Nisan 14-Passover in 30 AD. This date is Friday April 5 on the solar Gregorian calendar. This same day is May 2-Iyar 15 on the 364-Day calendar.

Great Reference for Biblical Dates

"The Bible was completed over thousands of years, and it has been around 2,000 years since the final recorded events occurred. That makes it difficult enough to understand the timing of each book. Add to that the calendar changes over time, and that we use a different calendar year now, and it is hard to put dates together. Jim Liles’ book, Earth’s Sacred Calendar works to help people studying the Bible to connect the dates.

Many modern Bibles have footnotes that tell how our current months relate to the months in ancient Israel. They can also tell the dates that events occurred based on archeological evidence. However, these notes are short, and don’t explain the background in much detail, if any. Jim Liles has went beyond this and made his research available in an easy to use book.

Earth’s Sacred Calendar matches up the events to our current way of tracking time. adjusting for calendar differences and changes, Liles shows the timeline of Biblical history. All through the Old Testament, from creation to the kings to the prophets, dates are given so that we can have a better understanding of the time frame involved. When was the Beginning of Time?

The foundational pillars of current Bible chronology are facing a problem that seems to be largely under the radar of scholars and students of the Bible, both Jewish and Christian. The field of Bible chronology and related ancient history appears be a victim of what might be called consensus science. Consensus science believes that something is true despite a significant body of evidence that would dictate a different conclusion. The popular belief in any form of Evolution as a fact and a form of science is a good example of consensus science. Evolution is perceived as science based on consensus of opinion. It is this author’s opinion that evolutionary change from any gradual process of more complex upward mutations has nothing to do with true science. Any honest biologist knows that the theory of Evolution is biologically and genetically impossible. This author is simply trying to point out that any form of evolutionary thinking has a direct effect on how one views the accuracy and importance of the text of Scripture. I mention this concern because consensus science has had a profound effect on how and when the events of ancient history are assessed. The Bible is clearly the oldest history book that mankind possesses. The text of Scripture is the foundational pillar on which all of ancient world history rests. How one views the accuracy of the Biblical text determines the conclusions that are reached and the world-view that is used to describe not only ancient history, but life itself.

This research displays a unique portrait showing the profound accuracy of the numbered years and dates in Scripture. To date, no Bible chronology, covering Creation Week to the life of Jesus, has used only the dated events in Scripture. The conclusions that result, from meticulously piecing together the numbered dates of the Bible, give the reader a clearer picture of God’s absolute Sovereignty. This research uses only the numbered dates in the Biblical text to show clear and precise evidence of God’s complete control over the events that take place in real time in history. These events can now be measured on earth’s currently used solar calendars. The unexpected result of this research shows that some of the dates of major events stated in modern Biblical chronology are off by as much as sixty years, according to the text of Scripture. Current chronology dates, such as the start of the Babylonian Exile in 588-586 BC and the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Temple in 515 BC, are examples of dates assumed to be historically accurate but are in clear conflict with the numbers given in the Bible.

As a result of over nine years of the author’s research, it is now possible to track the events of Biblical history on a 364-Day calendar consistent with Scripture. This research clearly shows that this 364-Day calendar generates the currently used desktop Gregorian and Julian solar calendars. When the 364-Day calendar is tracked next to the Gregorian-Hebrew calendar, using only the numbered years and dated events in the text of Scripture, the resulting coincidences that result in comparing the two calendars are almost beyond a statistical comprehension. The year 1445 BC is used as the Anchor Year for the start of the Exodus. From this year, all events are calculated using only the numbered dates in the text of Scripture. This research shows that the 364-Day calendar of the Old Testament digitally generates earth’s Gregorian and Julian calendars. Every day on both calendars can be calculated from Creation Week in 4101 BC, on a solar calendar, to the Ascension of Jesus in 30 AD. There are no gaps of years in the Genesis genealogies or any other part of the Biblical text. The dates in this research for the reigns of Israel’s Kings, the start of the Babylonian Exile, and the completion of the Second Temple, differ from every accepted Bible chronology in many important sections of Scripture. This is especially true during the reigns of Israel’s Kings and the Babylonian Exile.

It is now possible to know how many days have passed from a specific event in Scripture where the month and day are given. The Scriptural event can now be connected to a given day found on the Gregorian and secular Hebrew calendars found at websites with accurate Hebrew calendar date converters. It is very important for the reader to note that the Hebrew dates on these computer generated calendars are not the same Hebrew calendar dates found in Scripture. The calendars found at these websites are computer generated Gregorian solar and Hebrew lunar-solar calendars, consistent with the calendar in your kitchen or on your desktop computer.

As previously stated, this Bible Timeline research will show that by using only the clear and precise language of the Scriptural text, every day on earth’s Gregorian solar calendar can be accounted for from the Creation of Adam in 4101 BC on a solar calendar to the birth of Jesus in 5 BC using the Julian Day Number in any accurately programmed calendar converter software. There are no missing gaps in years in the genealogies or chronology of the Patriarchs in Genesis or any other part of the Biblical text. With only five exceptions, clearly stated in the Biblical text, the reigns of the 44 Kings of Israel are end-to-end and do not overlap. The dates calculated in this research for the reigns of Israel’s Kings, the start date of the Babylonian Exile, and the completion of the Second Temple, are in direct conflict with the dated events of every currently held and accepted Bible chronology. This is especially true when dating events prior to 455 BC. According to the data stated in this research, every event in Scripture happens on the exact or estimated day consistent with the stated numbered years in the text of God’s Word. This author sees this as a very clear display and detailed example of God’s Sovereignty in a way not previously understood. No changes are made to the Biblical text to accommodate any Bible chronology that is mathematically and/or Biblically incorrect.

The span of time from Creation to the birth of Jesus, in current Bible chronology, is the main foundational error creating much of the current confusion in accurately dating the events in Scripture. According to the number of years clearly stated in the Masoretic text, there are 4,096 traceable solar years from Creation Week until the birth of Jesus. It is no small coincidence that the amount of time that passes, on the Gregorian-Hebrew calendar, from Sunday, October 28-Heshvan 7 of 4,101 BC until Sunday, November 3-Heshvan 13 in 5 BC is exactly 4,096 complete solar years plus eight days. Visually it looks like a six-day difference instead of eight days. There are two more digital days on the Gregorian calendar during the first 4,000 years of earth’s history. This two-day discrepancy is due to the fact that the Gregorian calendar solar year is 43.2 seconds longer than the actual length of time it takes the earth to go around the sun in a solar year. If 43.2 seconds is multiplied by 4,000, the result is 172,800 seconds. Since this is the exact number of seconds in two solar days, two days have to be added to the Gregorian calendar in the first 4000 years of history. This is one of several explanations for the fact that there is a two-day difference in the dates on the Julian and Gregorian calendars in the year 30 AD. The Crucifixion happens on Friday, April 5 on the Gregorian calendar and Friday, April 7 on the Julian calendar. It is this author’s opinion that the main foundational error of all current Bible chronology is the inaccurate dating of this specific span of time from Creation to the birth of Jesus. I am saying that much of the current Bible chronology data, prior to 455 BC, is inaccurate and in error because it is different than the numbered dates and years in Scripture. The fact that the events occurred as described in the Biblical text is never questioned. At this point, I will give several prime examples of a date in Biblical history that can be calculated in Scripture using a non-solar, 364-Day calendar. In some cases I will also give the corresponding Gregorian-Hebrew solar date so the contrast with the 364-Day calendar is a little clearer.

The main focus of this research is to calculate accurately or estimate when the events in Scripture took place, not if they took place. The concern for the timing of these events is especially true with historical data prior to 455 BC. This research also differs from some historians on the year of Jesus’ birth, baptism and Crucifixion. The end of the Babylonian Exile, the start of Daniel’s 70 Weeks prophecy, and the twentieth year of the reign of the Persian King Artaxerxes are events calculated to occur in 455 BC. After 455 BC, the number of years given for the events of Scripture and the extra-Biblical data seem to be more consistent with current Bible chronology. According to this research data, the Old Testament goes silent on or about Thursday, August 1-Av 17 in 406 BC on the 364-Day calendar. This date marks the end of the first Seven Weeks of Daniel’s Seventy Weeks prophecy and spans a period of 49 years plus 10 days after the fourth day of the start of the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Wall. It is near the end of the reign of Darius the Persian mentioned in Nehemiah 12:22. It is also very possibly the beginning of the decline of the Persian Empire as a world military leader. In relation to Daniel 9:25, this date in 406 BC marks the end of Daniel’s First Seven Weeks with the end of the rebuilding of Jerusalem.

The October 20, 5 BC (BR) date for the birth of Jesus can be connected with other dates in Scripture to illustrate just one example of how the 364-Day Bible Reference (BR) calendar can be used to calculate specific months, days of the month, and years in Scripture. Once the date of the birth of Jesus is used as an Anchor date, the estimated dating of other events related to Daniel’s Seventy Weeks prophesy and events in the life of Jesus can be given dates in history that are consistent with specific dates in the text of Scripture. Using the date of the birth of Jesus, Daniel’s 70 Weeks prophecy is calculated to end on Monday, April 1-Nisan 10 in 30 AD on the Gregorian-Hebrew (GH) calendar. On this day, Jesus enters Jerusalem at the beginning of the events of Easter Week. The rebuilding of the Jerusalem Wall was completed on the "twenty-fifth day of Elul" according to Nehemiah 6:15. This research calculates the date of this event to be Sunday, September 8-Elul 25 in 455 BC on the 364-Day calendar consistent with Scripture. Exactly 480 years later, this same September 8-Elul 25 date can be reasonably estimated to be the date of the baptism of Jesus in 26 AD. This date falls forty-two days before the thirtieth birthday of Jesus on Sunday, October 20-Creation Day 7 in 26 AD.

The significance of exactly 480 years in the above time span is contrasted with the same exact span of time between Moses going up on Mount Sinai in 1445 BC (see Exodus 19:1-3) and the start of Solomon’s Temple in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign in 965 BC (see 1 Kings 6:1 and 2 Chronicles 3:2). Both of these two previous events happened on Sunday, May 18-Sivan 2 in the years mentioned.

The baptism of Jesus and beginning of His public ministry is in the fifteenth year of the Roman Emperor Tiberius, according to Luke 3:1-23. Tiberius began a three-year joint reign with Augustus on July 1 of 11 AD (Finegan, Handbook Biblical Chronology, p. 89). This is the Roman reign date for the beginning of Tribunicia potestate XIII that starts on July 1 of 11 AD on the Julian calendar. Augustus dies on August 19 in 14 AD just a short time after the July 1 start of Tribunicia potestate XVI. This would make the fifteenth year of Tiberius, in September of 26 AD, consistent with Scripture in dating the year of the baptism of Jesus. The Roman reign date for 26 AD would start on July 1 of that same year and be called the Tribunicia potestate XXVIII. Luke 3:23 also says that Jesus was "about thirty years old" at the event of His baptism. After being baptized, Jesus goes into the wilderness for "forty days and forty nights", according to Luke 4:1-2. As previously mentioned, the thirtieth birthday of Jesus would come on Sunday, October 20 in 26 AD, just forty-two days after His baptism.

Three years and 232 days after His baptism, Jesus enters Jerusalem to begin the events of Easter Week. As previously stated, the specific Passover date in Scripture for this event, on the Gregorian-Hebrew (GH) solar calendar, is Monday, April 1-Nisan 10 in 30 AD. This Monday event of Jesus entering Jerusalem has mistakenly been called Palm Sunday. This Monday date on the Gregorian-Hebrew calendar in 30 AD is Nisan 10 and marks the beginning of the Passover celebration. On the solar date of Nisan 10, in obedience to God’s instructions to Moses in Exodus 12:1-6, the sacrificial lamb is chosen to be slain on Friday, April 5-Nisan 14 in 30 AD. Scripture is very clear that Jesus enters Jerusalem as part of the beginning of the Passover Feast, according to Luke 12:12-13. It is important to realize that since 1 AD, April 5 on the Gregorian calendar is always Nisan 14-Passover on the solar calendar consistent with Scripture in a non-leap year. It is this author’s opinion that Easter Week may represent the final "week" of Daniel’s 70 Weeks prophecy in days, mentioned in Daniel 9:26-27. The final "week" of Daniel’s 70 Weeks prophecy, lasting seven years, describes the future seven years of Tribulation before the Second Coming of Jesus-The Messiah, described in Matthew 24:21, Revelation 11:2; 12:14 and 13:5. For further clarification on this issue, see the MacArthur Study Bible notes for Daniel 9:27. The dating of the birth, baptism and Crucifixion of Jesus is derived from the months and dates given in Scripture for the burning of the Temple in 526 BC and the completion of the Jerusalem Wall in 455 BC. How these, and hundreds of other Biblical dates, are computed will be discussed at length in other parts of this research.

The Lies of Evolution: Satan’s Spiritually Blinding Lenses

As previously stated, it is obvious, from even a cursory examination of just the numbered years in Scripture; the human authors of Scripture could not have lined up this historical data so accurately using only their own human mathematical skills. They had no way of completely knowing the exact nature of the numbered years they were writing as they wrote down God’s Word. Current Jewish historians, using incorrect assumptions instead of the Biblical text, date the earth with about 350 years fewer than the numbered years in Scripture. For this reason and others, I feel a need to remind the reader to not confuse a current secular Hebrew calendar with the dates given in Scripture. Current secular Hebrew calendar dates are the same in nomenclature only and are based on lunar-solar cycles.

It is obvious to all but the temporarily spiritually blind that the source of the words contained in Scripture come from God under the direct guidance of the Holy Spirit. Apparently, the Holy Spirit’s math is perfect. The consistent claim of Scripture is that God is the source of all the words in the Biblical text, as stated in 2 Timothy 3:16-17. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work". In this author’s opinion, it would be totally irrational to evaluate honestly the data in this research and conclude that the words of Scripture are of only human origin. In various ways, the Bible states over 3,800 times that the words in Scripture are God’s Words and not Man’s. The data found in this research illustrates God’s Sovereignty and the inerrancy of His Word regarding theology and prophecy in a very unique manner. This research also shows the historical accuracy of Biblical dates displayed in a way not previously seen with such clarity. The calculated dates, for events found in the Biblical text, give the precise dates for many Biblical events as well as estimated dates between clearly stated dates.

A person’s view of the accuracy of Scripture is the looking glass or corrective lens that determines how we view ourselves, the world and God. A looking glass or mirror allows us to see ourselves. What we see is determined by our belief about the meaning of what the Bible says. Since all humans are born in a condition of spiritual blindness, what we see is based on the influences of the world we grow up in and the way we learn to understand what we see or hear. Whether we grow up in a Christian home or not, it is only God’s Holy Spirit that opens our eyes to be able to see the Truth of His Word.

A person who believes in the myth of Evolution is like a person wearing corrective lenses that make it impossible to see the Truth. A person that believes in some higher power other than the God of the Bible is spiritually blind in the same way. When you look in the mirror what do you see? If you do not know Jesus Christ as Lord, do you see a sinner hopelessly lost, forever in need of a Savior? If you see something more positive and basically good, Scripture says you are spiritually blind to your current true condition before God. When you look across the Grand Canyon you might want to use a telescope or a pair of binoculars to see the details more clearly. Do you see the result of millions of years of earth’s history, as any tour guide would tell you or some of the results of Noah’s Flood, which happened a little over 4,400 years ago? It is the author’s prayer that the readers of this research will clearly see the Biblical text as the only true account of Creation, Jewish history and God’s provision of Salvation. If you want to know the truth about the way life really is and your real condition before your Creator, the Bible is the only source of accurate information.

The Bible Timeline research in this book is not in any way an attempt to enter the creation-evolution debate. There are many books on that subject written by people who are much better qualified to speak on those subjects. I find that when I read some of the theories related to the theory of Evolution, I just get amused at a higher level. I have often enjoyed watching and listening to the latest scientific theories regarding the fate of the dinosaurs that can be viewed on TV shows commonly found on the Discovery Channel. I remember one show in particular that ended with the narrator explaining that "an asteroid had killed the dinosaurs but that they later evolved into birds". There was of course no explanation as to how something dead could evolve into anything. About six months later the same show was on with the same announcer. The part about the dinosaurs evolving into birds had been removed from the narrative. Even a spiritually blind editor could realize that no reasonable person with a basic understanding of physiology or genetics would believe something so ridiculous.

I have no way of comprehending how anyone with a scientific and rational mind can honestly look at a picture taken by an electron microscope of a human cell and conclude that something so incredibly complex could have evolved by chance. Such a picture shows millions of tiny machines and wheels spinning in perfect harmony to keep the living cell functioning properly. Evolution is basically an irrational religion that has nothing to do with true science. There are no scientific facts that prove evolutionary theory and there never will be for a very simple reason: Evolution never happened. From this author’s perspective, any form of evolutionary thinking, that claims life forms developed by chance from lower to higher forms of life, is simply a theory created for the sole purpose of formulating a world-view that does not include the God of the Bible as the Creator or Lawgiver.

All Sin Begins With Doubting God’s Word and His Character

Evolutionary lies come wrapped in three main disguises. For the purpose of this discussion, I will call these deceptions Plans A, B, and C. Plan A focuses primarily on the questioning of God’s Word and/or the questioning of God’s Character. Eve’s first meeting with Satan is the first and clearest account of Satan’s overall strategy. Genesis 3:1 records the first question in recorded history, "Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?" One of Satan’s most effective tools is to get us to question God’s Word. Notice how Satan twists the question to imply that God would not allow Eve to eat from "every tree of the garden" instead of just the one prohibited tree in the "midst" of the garden. God had been very specific in his instructions to Adam in Genesis 2:16-17 where He states: "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die". These instructions are obviously given by Adam to Eve, as seen in her statement to Satan in Genesis 3:2-3. It is important to notice that God is saying they can eat the fruit of a large number of diverse fruit trees. There is only one of many that they cannot eat. In the Garden of Eden Satan speaks with Eve and continues his verbal manipulation of Eve’s thought process. It is important to note that Adam is "with her" (Genesis 3:6) and a witness to this conversation but does not say anything. He participates in the sin of disobedience by his silence.

After planting the seed of doubt in Eve’s mind about what God had actually said, Satan then turns his attention to casting doubt on God’s motives in giving instructions regarding the deadly consequences of disobedience to His Word. The resulting first and still most popular of Satan’s lies, "You will not surely die", is found in Genesis 3:4. Every lie related to the theory of Evolution is some form of questioning, lying, or twisting of God’s Word in order to persuade people to foolishly think that there are no serious or eternal consequences for disobedience to His Word. It is easy to ignore the consequences of disobedience to God’s Word as soon as you start doubting what He said. Those who think that the Days of Creation Week mean something different than ordinary 24-hour days have fallen into this deception that comes straight from Hell. Once you begin to think of death and dying and millions of years of evolutionary change by chance, why would you need a Savior from the effects of the Fall? If Genesis 1:1 is not real history, in what chapter and verse do you think God starts telling the Truth? This is a good question to ask if you are listening to a false teacher telling you the real meaning of Genesis and describes the days of Creation Week as something different than ordinary 24-hour days.

Satan continues his attack deceiving Eve into thinking God has some hidden motive for giving this prohibitive command. Satan convinces Eve that he, not God, has her best interests in mind. In Genesis 3:5, Satan plants the idea that God is worried that if she eats from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that she "will be like God, knowing good and evil". Satan was very familiar with the eternal consequences of wanting to be like God. Isaiah 14:14 claims that Satan wanted to be "like the Most High" referring to being like God. The result of Satan’s ambitions to be like God is that he and one third of the angels are cast out of heaven permanently, as recorded in the Apostle John’s vision in Revelation 12:4. Jesus spoke of witnessing this event in Luke 10:18. He says to the 70 disciples, who had just returned from their first mission field training, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven". Satan’s plan has always been to deceive people into thinking God’s Word does not mean what it says and that there will be no serious consequences resulting from disobedience to His Word. Satan also tries to convince Eve and the rest of mankind that God does not have our best interests in mind when making His laws.

Plan B is focused on removing God from the Creation equation completely. This is the most obvious goal of the false religion of Evolution. As we shall see, it is not the most important purpose in Satan’s deception. Plan B is a very hard sell because its goal is to get someone to not believe in God at all. This is very difficult since we are "without excuse" in knowing God’s invisible attributes, according to Romans 1:20. Everyone knows in his or her heart that there is a God. No reasonable biologist would do a public presentation to a live audience and attempt to explain the complex nature of a living cell and at the same time claim this is explainable by chance and upward mutations. When it came time for questions and answers from the audience, he or she would look ridiculous. This same presentation to a group of scientific minded peers might go unchallenged due to the pressure of consensus science.

It takes an active suppression of truth over a long period of time to actually come to the conclusion that there is no God. The purpose of getting God out of the role as Creator is the obvious main goal of the religion of Evolution called Naturalism, but it is only a smoke screen for the real purpose. The evangelistic emphasis of Naturalism serves a secondary function that is never mentioned. It is logical that if you recognize the God of the Bible as Creator, you also automatically acknowledge that He is the Lawgiver as well. The enemies of God hope that by getting rid of Him as Creator, they will also get rid of Him as the Lawgiver. If we can get rid of God as Lawgiver, then there are no moral restrictions and Hell becomes a fantasy that we do not need to worry about. The outcome of "professing to be wise, they became fools" is stated in Romans 1:22. Psalm 53:1 gives a simple and comprehensive definition of a fool when it says, "The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God". They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity. There is none who does good". This research will clearly show that belief in some form of Evolution is contrary to the stated text in Scripture and inconsistent with a belief in the God of the Bible as a totally Sovereign Creator.

Evolution is the primary lie that supports Plan B of Satan’s strategy for deception about the true and living God of the Bible. Scripture is clear that if you do not believe in God you are a fool. I would further comment that if you believe in any form of Evolution, you have been duped with unscientific and irrational information. I do not mean this comment as a personal attack or insult to any individual who actually believes in some form of Evolution. I recognize that most people believe in Evolution because that is what they have been taught and they may not have given it much thought. Sadly, it appears that a large percentage of people who say they believe the Bible also believe some form of Evolution. This seems to apply to both Christians and Jews alike. In my opinion, Plan B, the removal of any belief in God, is very effective for only a small percentage of people when used alone. For the purpose of turning large numbers of people away from the God of the Bible, Satan’s use of Plan C is probably much more effective when used in combination with some aspect of Plan A and/or Plan B.

Plan C, one of Satan’s best-disguised lies, can be summed up as the belief in any form of a false religion. Plan C in Satan’s arsenal of lies is the promotion of the worship of something or someone other than or instead of the God of the Bible. It is also a clear violation of the First Commandment in Deuteronomy 5:7, "You shall have no other gods before Me". This lie can and does take many forms. Satan is open-minded and not narrow in his thinking. Satan and the politically correct world do not care what you believe. Belief in any God is permitted as long as it is not the true God of the Bible. Belief in another God can also take the form of the worship of idols such as money, sex, power or any desire of the flesh. It can be the worship of another religious symbol such as Mohammed, Buddha, and the Virgin Mary, Joseph Smith or any other false Prophet, living or dead. The belief in any 12-step program Higher Power, other than the God of the Bible, is a false belief in Nothing. The popular concept of Intelligent Design, in discussion about Creation, often fools listeners into thinking that this apparently scientific concept could represent or be another name for the God of the Bible. It seems very clear in looking at some of the articles about Intelligent Design that this refers to any conceivable Designer except the God of the Bible. Any belief system that is a different teaching than what is found is Scripture is welcome among Satan’s lies.

Another Interpretation or Another Teaching?

Plan C is very persuasive in deceiving Christians who sometimes have difficulty understanding the difference between another interpretation and another teaching. The acknowledgement of the clear difference between these two anothers is necessary in order to have any meaningful discussion about what the Biblical text of Genesis means by what it says. This distinction is critical to a proper understanding of any Biblical text, especially the text of the Book of Genesis. I emphasize the special importance of Genesis because it is the foundational Book for the rest of Scripture. If you do not believe that the Book of Genesis is actual and accurate history, why would you believe any text that follows? Why do we need a Savior to deliver us from the effects of the Fall if there is death and decay before Adam and Eve? All but a few books of the New and Old Testament make a direct reference to an event that is the foundation for a theological issue (i.e., Sin and the Fall) or a direct quote from the Book of Genesis. Genesis is always assumed to be literal history and is never referred to as an allegory or myth by any reference from other parts of Scripture. Every major theological term, such as Sin or Salvation, is first seen as a theological seed planted in the text of the Book of Genesis.

It is this author’s position that any reading of the days of Creation Week as being different than normal 24-hour days is another teaching, not just another interpretation. God, the Author of the text in Genesis 1:1-2:3, makes the meaning of the word "day" very clear by giving each day a number that is defined by a repeating cycle of "the evening and the morning". Whenever a number or the phrase "the evening and the morning" is used with the word "day" (Om in Hebrew) in other parts of Scripture, the reference is always very clearly to a normal 24-hour day. If this first use of the word "day" means something different, then language becomes meaningless and Scripture is arbitrary and relative. If the days of Creation Week can be discussed as something other than ordinary 24-hour days, then the God being discussed can be described as just another higher power having many different names and man-made descriptions. If any teacher claims to be talking about the Book of Genesis and describes the days of Creation Week as something other than ordinary 24-hour days, that teacher is not talking about the God of the Bible at that point in time. I hope this research will give the reader a clearer picture of the precise nature of God’s Word and a correct reading of the Genesis account of Creation.

Author’s Purpose in Publishing This Research

For the past nine years, I have been on an unexpected journey through the text of Scripture. I say it was unexpected because my original goal, in going through the numbered years in the Biblical text, was simply to find out if the age of the earth could be derived from the stated years in the Bible. When I realized that there appeared to be a definite pattern to the numbered years stated in the text, I wondered if there was some form of a calendar waiting to be discovered. It took about four months to figure out the current version of the 364-Day calendar that was consistent with the Biblical text. Further research continued to verify the calendar’s accuracy. It would be discovered about three years after starting this research that this 364-Day calendar appeared to be the digital engine that generated the solar calendars in use today.

At this point in time, I simply want to share some of Scripture’s time treasures that I have found with the world. Based on emails and phone calls I have received, I am well aware that I am stepping onto a battlefield that is not for the faint of heart. While I am looking forward to entering the battle for Truth, I am not looking forward to the personal attacks on me from people who haven’t even taken the time to read some of the details of this research. For the most part, this research has been appreciated and well received by many individuals who had questions about a specific Biblical text that dealt with some aspect of Bible chronology. I have been encouraged by several ministers and Sunday school teachers who have contacted me regarding a text for sermon preparation or a Sunday morning lesson. It is my hope that this unique Old Testament chronological commentary will be a valuable study tool in order to better understand the Bible.

The purpose of publishing this research is not just another attempt to enter the creation-evolution debate. My approach is a little different. This research clearly takes the position that belief in any form of evolutionary theory is incompatible with any claim to believe the Biblical text, especially the text of the Book of Genesis. One of the author’s purposes in writing this research is to expose two of Satan’s most effective lies: the lies of Evolution and any form of Day-Age Creationism. One of the best ways to expose a lie is to clearly and plainly tell the truth. When the truth is put next to error, the differences between truth and error can be seen more clearly. In the author’s opinion, anyone who says they believe the Bible is God’s Word and also believes in some form of evolutionary influence in Creation or Day-Age theory has been deceived. Any form of belief in Evolution is contrary to the clear teaching of Scripture. Evolution is a disbelief in God as Creator and is an assault on the belief in His Sovereignty.

This research will clearly give strong support to those who believe in the inerrancy of God’s Word and that Scripture means what it says in the text. The enclosed charts of the earth’s history and the precise dating of the many events of Scripture will be seen as a clarification to the present scientific data used to explain the length of a Gregorian solar calendar year. Not only are the numbered years and events in Scripture consistent with true science, Scripture will add and clarify much of the confusion regarding how time is measured on a calendar. The 364-Day Bible Reference (BR) calendar will be shown to be consistent as a foundation for the scientific criteria that measure time using the current Gregorian solar calendar of earth. True science will have to go to Scripture for verification and a clearer understanding of how precise Time is and how to measure it accurately on any calendar. It has always been true that in order get a true picture of reality, science must consult and submit to Scripture. It is not the other way around as many suppose.

Before moving further into this research, I feel it is important to keep something in mind as you read this Bible Timeline data. I do wish to point out that Scripture is very clear that there are two types of people. There are those who believe God’s Word and those who do not. Those who believe in and are obedient to God’s Word will spend eternity with God in Heaven. According to Matthew 7:13, the majority of people will spend eternity in Hell because "wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it". Reality and Truth are not based on your opinion or mine. Truth is not determined by the latest focus groups or opinion polls. Current political correctness has no bearing or influence on Truth, God’s laws, or the eternal consequences of disobedience to His Word. Every human being will live forever in Heaven or Hell. There is not a third alternative such as the Roman Catholic teaching of Purgatory. Heaven and Hell are real places. Heaven is where God is. It is only those who go to Heaven who will know God by sight. Only those who recognize Jesus as Lord will be with God and know Him by sight forever. The only Truth is God’s Truth and the only place you can read it is in His Word, the Bible. That is just the way it is.

In doing this research on the Timeline of the Bible, the author operated from a Biblical perspective that never changed. The author assumed the numbered years in Scripture were always accurate and meant what they said.
