About this ebook

Hanna is used to getting her way.

A bombshell whose modeling career never got off the ground, Hanna decides it’s time to go back to school to find a different path in life. Growing bored with the dry content of classes like Coding 101, she decides to pass the time more creatively... by teasing her new professor.

When Tony isn’t taken in by her blatant flirtations, Hanna rises to the challenge. She isn’t used to men not becoming slack-jawed putty at her advances, but this older man seems to be invulnerable to her feminine charms.

If only it were the case. Tony is very aware of the age difference and the taboo nature of a student-professor relationship. With Hanna’s increasing attentions, he doubles down on his efforts to distract himself from her seduction, but his defenses are wearing thin.

Will either escape the semester with their hearts intact?

Falling for Her Professor - Scarlett Press

    Chapter One

Tony Farrell took a deep breath, deeper than he thought would have been necessary for such a minor event, and then pushed the door open. He walked a few steps into the staff room which was set up for the cocktail party; the annual staff welcoming held the week before classes commenced. Tony passed the long tables strewn with chips and dip, crudités and sushi rolls, buffalo wings and nachos, and headed straight to the bar. He poured himself a large gin and tonic, heavy on the gin, and took a big swig. He topped it up again and then turned to face the room.

Tony was tall, with thick, black hair which often stood upright in spiky curls due to him constantly running his long fingers through it. He shrugged his shoulders, unused to the suit he was wearing. He was blessed with a naturally athletic build. While he never bothered to lift weights, he was built as though he did. He enjoyed running, however, and tried to do five miles most days. His running habit, combined with his absentmindedness causing him to frequently skip meals, caused him to be fairly slim.

The welcoming party always had Tony feeling nostalgic. He had been teaching classes at the local community college for fifteen years now, having started here in his early thirties. Today, he was about to start his sixteenth year. He had attended MIT, himself, and graduated with a Masters in Computer Science what seemed like eons ago. He had been highly sought after by a number of Silicon Valley companies upon graduation and had taken up a position with the one offering the highest pay and the most perks. He was an extremely hard worker and loved his job. His twenties were spent focusing on his career and ignoring all external relationships. One by one, his old school friends and college buddies got married, settled down, and had children. Tony received sporadic invites to bachelor parties, weddings, and christenings, none of which he had attended. If he was missing out on anything, he hardly noticed. He continued to work; the work kept him alive and fed his soul.

When he was hitting thirty, the company he worked for went belly up, and suddenly he was lost. He struggled to get reemployed elsewhere, but no one was hiring at the time. He looked around him and realized his friends had been moving on. He didn't know where he was, or what he was doing.

His mother had been diagnosed with leukemia, and although she was way too proud to ask him to, he moved back home to look after her. He was an only child, and his father had abandoned them both while Tony was still in elementary school. He had been faced with overwhelming waves of loneliness and depression, most of all the intense feeling of pointlessness. One day, he was outside the drugstore and ran into an old classmate from high school, Richard Gallo. He hadn't ever been friends with Rich and seemed to recall Rich picking on him a bit, to be honest.

But, Rich now greeted him like they were long lost mates and seemed genuinely interested in how he was. It was Rich who suggested a position at the local community college. Rich taught appliance maintenance there, himself, and raved about it. Tony had walked in the door fifteen years ago to see if there was work in the Computer Science department and hadn't looked back.

He now looked into the bottom of his empty glass, a little surprised at how quickly he'd reached it. He turned to make himself a refill and felt someone push in beside him.

Tony! gushed the platinum blonde, dressed head to toe in bright turquoise. She leaned in to kiss him on the lips.

Hi, Eleanor, replied Tony, dodging the kiss. How was your summer?

Just frightful, really! Eleanor giggled. I tried so hard to stick to that new low carb diet, but it turns out I love bread, so once again no bikini for me this year. She adjusted the top she was wearing, pulling the bottom of it down to cover her stomach, which succeeded in giving Tony an eyeful of her enormous breasts.

Oh, I'm sure you'd look fine in a bathing costume, mumbled Tony, turning away from the lush sight, burying his face back in his gin and tonic.

Aren't you the sweetest, Eleanor gushed showering me with compliments. What am I going to do with you?

Tony knew what she wanted to do with him, and it involved smothering him in her incredible breasts. Oh, there's the dean, I really should go talk to her. I've got to discuss my new... class plans, Tony continued to mumble as he awkwardly shuffled away.

    Eleanor Hubble,
