About the Authors

Dmitriy Gushchin, MS, ND is an esoteric philosophy teacher and a holistic health practitioner as well as an author of innovative publications for over 25 years. Background of Master of Science in Physics and Doctor of Naturopathy gives Dmitriy a strong scientific base in all of his practices and research. Dr. Gushchin is a founder and director of the Institute of Russian Healing Arts based in Brookline, Massachusetts.

Yo Ahn Han, MFA is a painter from the Republic of Korea. He was born in Seoul and raised in the city of Chuncheon, Gang-Won Province in Korea. He currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts, where he received his MFA 2D at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He obtained a Bachelors of Fine Art from the School of Art Institute of Chicago. He wrote and illustrated a children’s book, King Leon in Lybeth in 2007.

Introduction

IWOULD LIKE TO start this book with a little story. I was young — a five or six year-old boy — when I had my first encounter with the Evil Eye phenomenon. One night I came to our dining room and noticed that my mother was performing some kind of ritual; burning matches and newspaper in a metal bowl; reciting some kind of a spell. She definitely didn’t expect to see me there at such an hour but she took time to explain to me what she was doing. This is how I found out that my mother performed Curse and Evil Eye removal rituals to help those suffering from such disorders. I also learned that my mother received her training from her grandmother and that I should not talk about it with other people. The Communist regime in Russia did not tolerate such practices!

Since that night I watched many times how my mother helped people with her rituals. I learned a lot from her and collected numerous stories which I remember and treasure to this day. When I turned sixteen my mother allowed me to start practicing Evil Eye and Curse removal rituals, with her supervision first, and later on many occasions she would ask me to perform these rituals by myself until I was allowed to be independent.

Also at the age of sixteen I graduated high school and was accepted to the University. While earning my Master’s Degree in Physics I also studied Natural Healing and developed a small but popular home based private practice. From time to time I would get skeptical about my rituals thinking about everything I learned in my science classes. But my skepticism would disappear the moment I saw how helpful Evil Eye and Curse removal was. So I realized that I had to find a more scientific explanation for the ancient practice of Evil Eye and Curse removal. Moreover, I understood that other strange and unexplained phenomena like Love Spells and Energy Vampirism share a similar nature to the Evil Eye.

I spent years of practice and research putting all the pieces together. Eventually, I started teaching workshops on the subject which I called Ancient and Modern Wisdom on Energy Information Disorders. And now I have turned this information into a book which I hope you will enjoy and use wisely.

The purpose of this book is to provide proper understanding of Energy Information Disorders, including Evil Eye and Curse. We will discuss where these disorders come from, what the common symptoms are, and how to classify and diagnose them. An important part of the book will be to provide a clear perspective on the greater anatomy of the human being, which is crucial to the scientific understanding of fundamental principles of Psychic Self-Defense and will unlock the best strategies for protection and prevention of Energy Information Disorders. Some of the techniques in this book you can easily learn and start using on your own. Other methods I will simply mention and explain their basics, so you will know that they exist and in case you need them you can find professional help. For better comprehension of the subject I provide plenty of stories to illustrate the theories. I recommend reading this book a couple of times so you can fully absorb all of the information.

Levels of Organization of a Human Being

PRIOR TO UNDERSTANDING what Curse, Evil Eye and other Energy Information Disorders are we need to understand the structure of a Human Being as a Complex Bio-System. Please take a look at Figure 1 . The diagram is quite simple: it shows five circles inside each other. The circles represent five Levels of Organization of the Human Bio-system, or five Bodies of a Human Being.

Let’s look at the functions of this Bio-system and at each Level of Organization in particular. We will begin with the second circle from the outside of the diagram. This circle represents the body we are most familiar with — the Physical body. As you may already guess, the function of the Physical body is mainly considered by Esoteric Philosophy as the representation of a Human Being in the physical world. By the condition of your Physical body you can monitor the health and harmony of each and every level of your Bio-system.

The next body, the third from outside of the diagram, is called an Energy body or Astral body. It is also referred to as The Body of Wishes and Desires. But, what actually is the definition of an Astral body?
