It was amazing! I thought we were the only ones in the Universe. My planet is the third in our solar system, with vast oceans, green valleys, and huge mountains. Our cities are works of art. The people on Unitor take pride in what they build. There is only one race, but two kingdoms. My people the Marieans and across the sea the Lars. The Marieans were more sea, river, or marine type people. We loved to fish, sail, trade goods, or even explore the unknowns below the sea. The Lars is more agriculture people that had vast farms, rainforest, and other types of wilderness. They were not as much strength in sea power as the Marienas were.

My father once told me, Even though our people of this planet are two different kingdoms, we are still connected in the cycle of life. The Lars is the land and the Marieans are the sea. Those very words burned into my mind. A curious mind that sometimes gets me into trouble.

I am only twelve of my world's years, a young girl with great curiosity. My people are bipeds with two arms and light brown skin. We are a tall race, averaging two meters tall. We have hair only on our heads, small snouted faces, dark nose, and round slanted eyes. My people come in all different sizes: fat, skinny and muscular.

The news was all over the cincom. The three-dimensional image it produces showed a large ship outside our atmosphere. A discovery that will change my people, the planet, and our view on life in the universe, if there is life beyond our world.
