About this ebook
David fell off a stepladder and broke a coffee cup. It was not just a coffee cup that experienced change that day. The fall somehow linked David to a telepathic alien race, far across the Universe.
This remarkable link changed David's life and the lives of all humans. The aliens perception of the universe and our perception would never be the same again. Although the aliens realised what had changed but human beings had no idea. David became the lens for the aliens to explore and understand the universe. In return he enjoyed a remarkable career. But what does this mean for the future?

Chapter 1 Contact
Dai fell off the stepladder, hitting not only the kitchen floor but also the table, smashing a coffee cup with his face. Semi-conscious and bleeding badly, he managed to call for help. The ambulance people found him lying outside his front door, and muttering incessantly.
At the hospital, the medical staff cleaned his wound and
stitched up his face. He would carry an impressive scar for the rest of his life but it would heal fairly quickly.
Despite his condition not being critical, Dai stayed in a semi-conscious state, or coma like sleep, which baffled the doctors. Given the reason for his condition was not known, the doctors decided to let him come out of it on his own. They felt it was not a proper coma, but more like an extremely deep sleep.

Dai’s mind was full of a dream about underwater scorpions. Millions of them. They lived in the Hive, which seemed to exist between a rocky terrain and an ice ceiling, many kilometres above. Huge numbers of creatures lived in the pitch-black water, most of which had been domesticated, in various ways, for the benefit of the scorpions.
Dai watched as the millions of Hive inhabitants went about their business.
Yet he knew what all of them were doing because they broadcast summaries of their activities to the other scorpions. They all shared their thoughts and actions.
Dai was surprised that these scorpions were employing simple machines such as levers and rams to accomplish some of their tasks. Even more surprising was these machines were made of metals which the scorpions had somehow mined from the seabed.
Why are they asking me questions? How could they? Such silly questions, as well.
Where are the others?
What are you?
Where are you
These were the most common questions. But literally thousands of other questions were bombarding his mind. Most of which he did not understand.
How can a dream be so confusing?
Then he realized the Hive was trying to explore how it could interfere with his brain. He could feel interferences with his body and he knew he wasn’t instigating them.
This is not a dream, the Hive was trying to speak to him directly, into his brain!
Now he had a lot of questions. These weird creatures were communicating with him. They seemed to address questions to him and each other at
