Flowcasting | See Your Money Future Clearly Today | Change It Now for a Better Tomorrow | The Must-Have Money Management, Planning, Budgeting, Mapping Tool and Practical Skill to Succeed Financially. - Richard Conner

    Introduction

I used to struggle to plan and manage my personal money and business finance. Now, I know and understand why. My income was always and still is disparate, sporadic and unpredictable, ensuring I often felt ill at ease when it came to making both simple and complex vision-led spending, saving, or investment decisions.

As an author, architect, and artist, I mentor, coach, and train Transformerpreneurs (healers, coaches, inventors, and creators) on how to realise their vision while maintaining a firm financial footing. Like many Transformerpreneurs, I offer private sessions, group classes, workshops, and practitioner training. I’m also a freelance designer, marketer, and non-executive director. I sell books, art, courses, and transformational consultancy packages.

Because of this my incomings and outgoings seem to get harder to understand and manage instead of simpler and easier. And, if that wasn't enough to handle my expenses behave like a roller-coaster depending on where I'm living in the world and how frequently and how far I want, need, and must travel, for business or pleasure.

In the past, the navigation of this, my unruly ‘Money Map’, was often hit-and-miss at best and roll-of-the-dice risky at its worst.

It was practically impossible to predict when I might have the funds to invest safely in a new project, campaign, or team member, let alone handle the day-to-day detail short, medium, and long term money management of my personal living and business (ad)venture cash flows, operating budgets, and scenario forecasts.

I needed to get to grips with what my money was doing and telling me now, in the immediate short-term, as well as how it might look in my unfolding faster than Id like mid-to-longer-term future.

All so that I could make more informed decisions and take more considered action today, ahead of time, before anything overly financially challenging cropped up and threatened to derail me, my plans, my projects, my relationships, and my livelihood, again.

What I really wanted (and desperately needed) was clarity, comfort, confidence, comfort, and control of my money so that I could focus my energy and resources fully on the bigger picture of realising my vision (aka enjoying a more purpose-driven-life).

Ideally, I’d apply and enjoy this veritable super-power with less distraction and discomfort triggered by the inevitable periods of not-knowing that seem to be par for the course and come with the territory as a would-be, beginner, or veteran Transformerpreneur.

Before I left London and my international creative agency and design businesses just over five years ago budgeting and cash flow were the banes of my life. Really. They weren’t just a nagging doubt at the back of my mind they were forever firmly at the forefront of it for the majority of my working and waking hours.

For years, during the few short days of relative calm, peace, and quiet after the 'only just making the monthly payroll' storm, I rigorously explored different ways of keeping on top of the ebbs and flows of both my personal and business money movements.

For obvious reasons I was drawn to those that required the least amount of time and effort to manage, in an attempt to stay afloat, another month, and eventually make some financial headway.

In the process I became a reluctant cash flow, budget forecasting, money management, and business financial planning expert.

So much so after unplugging from the matrix and embarking on an open-ended career break nomad sabbatical lifestyle and meeting the associated financial challenges head-on I’ve been focussed solely on this aspect of the Transformerpreneur’s journey.

I’ve learned, the hard way, that we're all struggling to establish a solid foundation of financial safety, security, and stability, from which to build a freer, less encumbered, more flexible, and fun life.

From twenty-five plus years been-there-done-that experience of living, working, resting, playing, and sometimes praying at a transformerpreneurial existence I know we must work from both the inside-out and outside-in to solve or transcend any problem.

This is especially and unavoidably true with persistent personal money and business finance challenges. To make any significant, positive, lasting change in these areas we must work to get our financial house in order. The best way to start this essential housekeeping is to finally grasp the nettle and get to grips with your cash flows and your budgets. The more contextual the better.

I'm very aware this can be a somewhat painful process. I know many people avoid it at all costs. Sadly they end up paying the price in the form of stress, worry, and anxiety brought on by lack of clarity and ongoing uncertainty which makes it harder to maintain a positive outlook in the face of even minor financial adversity.

Confused, they struggle to understand how and why their current outdated, no longer fit-for-purpose ’Money Map’ moves reactively over time, as if an independent entity. The alternative, open to all, is having a clear plan for how they want it to flow proactively in alignment with achieving their goals and realising their vision.

That’s why I created Flowcasting™. The easiest, simplest, most-effective way to manage your personal money and business finance dynamically, in context of anything and everything else that may or may not financially impact your life and business, across time.
