Synovia stood on the green square on the floor exactly six feet from the person to her left side and tapped her foot against the linoleum as she stood at the Starbucks counter and waited for her drink. Normally she hated coming to Target, but it was a must that she found a last minute costume for the Halloween party her sister was throwing on a whim. Although her idea of a good Friday night had nothing to do with candied eyeballs, bloody drinks, nor severed heads materializing from out of thin air, still and all she sucked it up to spend the evening with her second favorite person.

The relationship she had with her sister wasn’t the best, but it also wasn’t horrible either. Their parents tried to force the identical twins into their perfect little twin box, but quickly found out that their daughters were too strong willed, even at an early age. Serenity was a wild card, everything had to be done her way or she wouldn’t do it at all. With her, there was no in between, no compromise. Synovia was the quieter and more subdued twin, but she still wasn’t a  pushover. Each woman had her own life and her own identity, independent of her sister. However, they were still fiercely overprotective of the other half of their individuality.
