The Pilot

No one struggles with the idea of a pilot in a military base controlling a drone thousands of miles away. The pilot does not need to be inside the drone to fly it. He’s completely safe no matter how much danger the drone is in. If the drone is shot down or crashes, the pilot walks away without a scratch. He is, after all, in a different location from the drone.

Why then is it so hard for people to grasp that the soul is not in the body? Rather than a different location, it’s in a different dimension from the body (its drone, its avatar). Or, rather, the soul is dimensionless while the body is dimensional. The soul is in an immaterial Singularity, while the body is in the spacetime universe of matter.

The remote control protocols that allow an immaterial soul in a Singularity to direct a material body in spacetime are those of ontological Fourier mathematics, which connects dimensionless frequency signals to dimensional spacetime signals.

There is nothing mysterious going on. There is no magic. There are no miracles. This is pure mathematics, and mathematics is the quintessence of rationalism and logic. However, magic might as well be at work given that mathematics is so alien to most people, so far outside their schema of how reality functions. They cannot think in simple mathematical terms involving the interaction of two different mathematical domains.

Minds and bodies are in different domains, not the same domain – a fact that’s apparently impossible for the average person to grasp. That’s because it’s an intellectual fact, not a sensory fact. It’s a truth of reason, not an empirical observable. You deduce this truth. You don’t employ induction to establish it. Mathematics is about deduction. Science is about induction. As soon as you adopt a scientific mindset, you have cut yourself off from the mathematical truth.

The two domains of mind and matter communicate via an interdimensional mathematical protocol built into the fabric of the universe – again this is impossible for the average human to comprehend. It’s not that the answer to the mind-body problem is in any way difficult, it’s that it belongs to a mathematical paradigm and most people are mathematically illiterate and cannot think in mathematical terms.

There is not just a spacetime domain of matter, there’s also an immaterial, non-spacetime Singularity of mind. That’s about as simple as 1 + 1 = 2, yet we might as well be trying to explain M-theory given how resistant most people are to any kind of mathematical thinking and mathematical ontology.

People can’t get over their sensory biases. They imagine that the mind is inside the skull – because it appears that way, because it feels that way. That’s why scientists think the brain is the mind … because the brain is inside the skull. It would never occur to them that the mind only seems to be inside the skull but is actually somewhere else entirely, beyond any sensory description. It’s exactly because the mind isn’t in spacetime at all that it survives the death of the spacetime body and can subsequently connect to a new spacetime body and live in the world all over again.

Mathematics completely explains all of the greatest hopes and beliefs of the religious and spiritual, yet all of the religious and spiritual reject the elementary mathematical solution. When they think of religion and spirituality, mathematics is the last thing that comes to their mind, and it’s the last thing they want to contemplate as the answer to reality. So they don’t. They go on believing mystical nonsense, or clinging to absurd revelations by ancient prophets. That’s what they like. That’s their comfort zone. They are much more at home with faith and mysticism (Mythos) than they are with mathematics (Logos).

People reject the mathematical explanation of reality because they are not able to understand it, and because they don’t like mathematics. People will not accept an answer they don’t like. The Truth can go hang if it’s unlikeable. The likeable Lie, however, will be ecstatically embraced by billions! That’s the human condition. Nietzsche rightly said, "… for what has hitherto been forbidden on principle has never been anything but the truth."

Just ponder how horrific that is. Yet it’s unquestionably true. Human beings are creatures of evolution, not of Truth. They are constitutionally incapable of understanding the Truth. They didn’t evolve with Truth in mind, but with survival as the sole criterion. What does survival care about Truth? If the easy Lie helps more than the hard Truth, average people will accept the Lie over the Truth 100% of the time. The only people for whom that will not be the case are the exceptional ones, the ones for whom the Truth really matters because they have more highly evolved minds that understand that evolution has an ultimate goal and is actually strategic rather than tactical. Most people are whipped along by day-to-day evolutionary tactics, but evolution requires a few to have their minds on the evolutionary strategy, which concerns the final aim of evolution … the delivery of perfection, the Omega Point at which evolution terminates.

Why is science’s basic model of reality catastrophically wrong? It’s because science is based on observation, hence can only be directed at the observable spacetime universe of matter. The frequency Singularity that controls the universe is wholly absent from science, which is precisely why science cannot explain mind, life, free will, the unconscious and consciousness. All of these are properties of the eternal and necessary frequency Singularity of mind (a living domain), not the temporal and contingent spacetime universe of matter (a dead domain).

Science, a sensory subject, requires reality to be sensory. How can science understand a non-sensory reality? It can’t. A non-sensory reality lies outside science’s sensory paradigm. Science has calamitously failed to understand that we live in a non-sensory mathematical universe of dimensionless frequency signals of mind linking to dimensional spacetime signals of matter. Science believes that only spacetime signals exist, i.e. only matter is real. In fact, matter is produced by mind. The Big Bang was when the frequency Singularity of mind generated the spacetime universe of matter, by a cosmic process of ontological Fourier mathematics.

Science is a vast, systemic misinterpretation of mathematics. Science is what you get when you subject mathematics to the manmade, fallacious ideology of materialism and empiricism, when you subordinate conceptualism (mathematics) to perceptualism (science), when you privilege truths of fact over truths of reason. The only part of science that actually works is the mathematical part – the part that reflects mathematical reality. If you removed mathematics from science, science would cease to work. How can science be so dependent on mathematics if science is real and mathematics unreal? In fact, it’s mathematics that is real while science is an unreal invention of human beings.

Science mimics the observable mathematical patterns of reality by taking sensory patterns (experimental data) and matching mathematical formulae to them that reproduce those patterns. Science is just an exercise in matching mathematical equations to natural patterns derived from experiments. Science has failed to grasp that reality is full of mathematical patterns because reality is mathematical. This is the Occam’s razor solution to why mathematics is essential to science.

All scientists, literally 100% of them, imagine matter to be real and mathematics to be unreal. That’s the defining fallacy scientists always bring to the party. In fact, mathematics is real and matter is what mathematics looks like when subjected to space and time, which are themselves mathematical framing, externalizing dimensions. When you strip back these dimensions in their entirety, you arrive at the purely internal, dimensionless Singularity of frequencies – the Cosmic Mind, composed of individuals minds. What preceded the Big Bang was pure Mind, a pure Singularity, pure mathematics, pure Subject (the state prior to the creation of objects).

This basic picture of reality is thousands of years old and is detectable in the mathematical philosophy of the first mathematician and first person to call himself a philosopher – Pythagoras. He expressly said, All things are numbers. Number rules all. It is even clearer in the philosophy of Plato, himself a Pythagorean. For Plato, an immaterial domain of eternal, immutable, perfect Forms outside space and time (i.e. in a mental Singularity) is responsible for the temporal, mutable, imperfect domain of space, time and matter. The realm of the intelligible and conceptual produces the realm of the sensible and perceptual.

This Pythagorean-Platonist picture of reality was, in modern philosophy, championed by Descartes. Descartes’ philosophy centered on the existence of an unextended thinking substance (res cogitans = mind) and an extended, non-thinking substance (res extensa = matter).

Mind thinks and is dimensionless. Matter doesn’t think and is dimensional. Matter is the product of thought, not something that itself thinks. This is the true picture of reality. Unfortunately, Descartes, a pioneering mathematician, did not have access to the sophisticated mathematical knowledge that exists today. He presented his scheme in dualistic philosophical terms. Had he been alive today, he would have presented it as a mathematical monism, with dimensionless mathematics being mind and dimensional mathematics being matter. This is the exact setup furnished by ontological Fourier mathematics, a type of mathematics unknown in Descartes’ day.

Ontological Fourier mathematics is the complete mathematical explanation of Cartesian philosophy. It converts a substance dualism into a dual-aspect substance monism. There is only one substance – mathematics – but it can exist both dimensionlessly (as mind) and dimensionally (as matter, the product of mind). Mind adds the framing dimensions of space (extended real numbers) and time (extended imaginary numbers) to the unextended real and imaginary numbers of the frequency domain. (Ontologically, frequencies are not in space and time. They are instead the source of space and time).

What is calculus? It’s a dimensionality tool. Integral calculus adds a dimension to a function, while differential calculus subtracts a dimension from a function. Calculus is a dimensionality ladder. With calculus, we can systematically add dimensions (integration) and also systematically remove them (differentiation). What happens when we remove all dimensions? We do not arrive at non-existence (nothing at all). Instead, we arrive at dimensionless existence (nothing that is also something – something with no dimensions and no observable features, hence seems to be nothing – pure Subject as opposed to Object).

Dimensionless existence is mental existence, subjective existence. It’s the immaterial Singularity of frequencies. It’s the domain of Mind. Science – a discipline that addresses only objects – can say nothing whatsoever about the Subject and its Subjectivity. Subjects cannot belong to science. Science is about observation and only objects can be observed.

Via integral calculus, the dimensional universe of space and time was created from the dimensionless universe of frequency. Via differential calculus, all dimensionality will in due course be removed from the universe, and it will return to its original Singularity state. This constitutes the Big Crunch (differentiation), the reversal of the Big Bang (integration). It’s all in the calculus!

What is entropy? It’s ontological integral calculus, producing complexity from simplicity. To remove entropy, you remove dimensions, via ontological differential calculus, reducing complexity to simplicity.

Calculus is not some manmade abstraction. It’s real, it’s ontological. It’s built into the mathematical fabric of existence.

What is a dream? It’s when a dimensionless mind performs integral calculus to produce a dimensional world inside the mind, a world that only one subject – the dreamer – can know. What is the objective universe? It’s when all dimensionless minds perform integral calculus together (collective integral calculus). Every subjective mind then has the same objective universe with which to interact. All minds share the same object, hence its universal objectivity.

There is nothing remotely weird and mysterious going on in the universe. It’s all pure math. Sadly, people’s understanding of mathematics is so bad that they mistake basic mathematical processes as some sort of unfathomable cosmic paradox. If they had even the most elementary mathematical literacy, they would grasp that every single process that occurs in the universe – no matter how odd or curious it might seem – is actually just straightforward mathematics.

The properties and capacities of mathematics are astounding. They might well seem miraculous to unsophisticated human minds, and be misinterpreted in terms of the powers of God or the gods.

All of mathematics is present at every point in the universe. We call this the holographic principle – the whole is encoded in every part. That’s why the universe always knows what to do in every circumstance. It just does the math! The Subject is present in every object and controls every object.

Mathematics is not an abstraction, it’s a concrete fabric fully present in every part of the universe, the mathematical universe. Mathematics is the universal language, the universal substance, the universal ontology, the universal epistemology, the universal logic, the universal metaphysics, the universal physics.

It’s solely thanks to mathematics that existence is rational, explicable, intelligible. Existence has an answer only because it’s a mathematical organism. It isn’t a mathematical AI. It’s not a dead computer. It’s a living, purposeful intelligence, a Hive Mind made of individual, living minds, of which each of us is one.

Ontological mathematics is a living system of interacting singularity minds, which create a mathematical spacetime universe between them – their common Object, by which they can all objectively interact with each other and physically meet each other via their physical avatars in space and time.
