SURPRISE!

Mia and Deshawn sat in the backseat of their parents’ SUV as they traveled down the highway. Deshawn fiddled through apps on his smartphone. He was trying his best to be as patient as possible. But it was difficult! Mia, Deshawn’s older sister, was reading a book.

My maps app is telling me that we’re only one hundred and seventy-five miles away from Action World! Only a few more hours until we arrive at the greatest amusement park of all time! Deshawn said, looking over at his sister. How can you read a book at a time like this? Aren’t you excited?
