      Chapter 1 - Finally Over

      LORAIN SAT ACROSS FROM her soon-to-be ex-husband and his soon-to-be wife. The papers were ready to be signed. All she needed to do was to sign them.

      Alright, everything you wanted is yours. I hope you are happy. Her soon-to-be husband told her.

      Everything looks in order. She said. Lorain felt the baby kick - as she signed the papers. It is done. I am tired.

      He helped his pregnant soon-to-be wife up, We need to be careful now that you are pregnant. He kissed his soon-to-be wife up.

      I am. Thank you. The woman said to him with such grace it made Lorain want to throw up.

      Lorain cheered inwardly - for the much-needed exit from the marriage. The guy was never true. He needed someone younger in his life. Her investigator caught him kissing a new woman that was not the pregnant woman in front of her.

      Did she know? Lorain wondered. Best to keep it a surprise.

      When she stood up, her ex-husband saw her pregnant belly. Have a great honeymoon. The both of you. And, I am keeping the baby. Cheers, former husband.

      It is all in the fine print of the divorce contract. You should have read it. I will leave you two love birds alone. She walked past him.

      LORAIN THOUGHT ABOUT the woman in there. She had his children long ago. And, they must have reconciled their relationship.

      They had a daughter, together. That must have been what he was doing when he got back with her. He must have thought that getting back was the right thing to do.

      And, that other woman must have been some fling? Lorain was done with guessing his problems.

      She was used to being the other woman - in the past. Most kids never liked her. They wanted to get their parents back as a family. It didn’t matter if
