About this ebook
My book is a compilation of 36 newspaper columns published over the past few years. I write about uncomfortable truths that we as South Africans shy away from, such as the persistence of white power and privilege, structural racism and the glaring lack of social and economic transformation and justice. I unmask the Rainbow Nation as a palace of white power, where whiteness reigns supreme, even though the governing party, the ANC, is black.

KIM HELLER: Writer, political strategist and commentator, strategic communication, media, and social economic development specialist.I am an independent media, social and political analyst. My writings on the lack of social and economic transformation and justice in South Africa have been published, both locally and internationally. My outspoken views on white supremacy, privilege and power have been televised in South Africa and beyond. I am currently working on two non-fiction books.Ideologically, I am a strong advocate for radical economic transformation. I was a member of the African National Congress (ANC) for many years and left the ANC to join the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in 2014. I was the first democratically elected Deputy Secretary of the EFF in Gauteng. I am no longer affiliated with any political party. My current focus is on writing and social economic development consultancy geared at helping to usher in meaningful and sustainable transformation in South Africa. My book ‘No White Lies: Black Politics and White Power in South Africa’ deals extensively with how white supremacy reigns supreme in democratic South Africa and how we need to change the national consciousness as well as the power relations in society so that the dignity of black South Africans is fully restored, after centuries of racial subjugation and cultural dislocation. I am currently completing a book on ‘White Supremacy in Democratic South Africa,’ which contains key insights which would be useful in the deconstruction of apartheid and colonial societal systems and symbols and in the creation of a new transformed ideology, outlook, and cultural landscape.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Indeed no stones were left unturned in highlighting the truth about the afterglow that apartheid and colonialism has left on our country and Africa at large. White privilege and everything that is part and parcel of it are still a huge problem that we should never shy away from no matter how uncomfortable the conversation may become. Thank you Kim for a great read!
