Chapter 1
It was summer in the month of August in the city of Easton. When the blue sky was clear, and the sun was emitting its warm rays.
The restaurant doors opened, and this warm looking lady entered the restaurant. Her name was Elena. She stood of medium height. Her complexion was very fair. She had short, jet black hair. She had a oblong shaped face. Her eyebrows were flat. Her eyes were average, and black. Her nose was droopy, and Her red lips were uneven.
She had a pear shaped body. Her torso was small, and her legs were long.
She went to the counter so she orders fast food for lunch from her office. She found that there was a new cashier on the counter. The new cashier was Ian.
Ian stood of a tall height. He had spiky black hair. He had a square shaped face. His eyebrows were straight. He had dark black eyes. He had a lifted nose. His lips were thin. He had a dimple on his chin and a stubby beard.
He had triangle inverted shaped body. His torso, and legs were of average size. He had a strong body.
Elena gazed in his face, and her heart raced, and her nerves went up. She stood with a straight posture as she maintained her glare of his face.
Good afternoon madam, what can we serve you?
he said with a grin on his face maintaining eye contact with her.
I want a cheeseburger with fries, and a coke,
she said flashing a grin at him
Ian give the order of the requested meal to the staff he worked with. The meal was then brought forth on the counter.
Thanks, here is the money,
she said handing over the money and taking her meal to her seat.
The restaurant was not packed with people as it usually did. Elena unwrapped her hamburger, and she took a bit of it. Her attention was to Ian who was busy talking to a customer who came in the restaurant.
She was busy chewing the burger. She began to stroke the bottle of her drink and was giving Ian slight glances. Her heart raced every time she glanced at him.
After a few bites of the burger, and eating a few fries and some sips of her drink. She got up from the table, and went to cash for two more burgers for her kids.
Here is the money for two more burgers,
she said as she drew money from her purse and handed it to him.
He took it and placed it into the counting machine.
I was wandering are you new in this restaurant cause I do not see you cause I often eat from this restaurant,
she said glaring at him in his eyes.
Yeah madam, I started work today. I'm new here in Easton,
he said.
Oh you are a new employee. I knew it cause I have never seen you here before,
she said with a wide grin on her face.
My name is Elena, and you what's your name?
she asked with a deep glare into his face.
My name is Ian nice to meet you Elena. I look forward to seeing you here again,
he said handing her the burgers brought by his colleagues.
Oh nice to meet you as well Ian. You will see me here quite often cause this is my favourite fast food restaurant,
She said getting more comfortable in his presence.
Bye Ian. I will meet you tomorrow,
she said.
Bye Elena,
he said and he started attending to a knew customer who came into the restaurant.
Elena got in her car and started off to her house. She stayed in Bowen street . As she was driving through the road of the street she lived she thought of Ian.
Thoughts of him made her to be filled with excitement. Ian was someone she wanted to know. She then reached her place.
She found her neighbour Mr Cook cleaning his yard. She greeted him, and moved on, and entered her house.
The living room of the house was average. It was rectangular in shape. It had wooden and metallic furniture. It had white paper on the walls. It had a pendent light, ceiling lights, and lamp lights. It had a wooden floor. It had a bright theme and futuristic look to it.
Mum, is back!
Angel rushed to her mother and her mother lifted her up in her hands. Tristan also rushed to his mother, and hugged her.
Elena was a single mother. Her children were Angel who was a 5 year old girl, and Tristan who was a 12 year old boy. Their father was arrested after violently assaulting her. Their father Caleb was always abusive to their mother. After he beat her severely leaving her unconscious she decided to put the marriage to an end, and get him arrested so he does nothing worse than he did.
Vivian came into the living room as she heard the kids rush to their mother. Vivian was Elena's close friend who she knew from high school days. Vivian lived with Elena, and took care of her kids when she was off for work during the night.
She walked towards Elena with a grin on her face.
Welcome back dearest friend,
Vivian said with her hands wrapped glaring at Elena.
